I've come to expect MMO communities to kind of feel the same no matter what game you're in. But FF XIV really is quite different.

Even as an off and on WoW player with 100's of hours, I grew to hate going through new dungeons or trying new classes, because it inevitably meant dealing with hostile players. Both in the game and in the forums, I've been consistently impressed with the patience and helpfulness of more experienced players.
