Just to make them stand out more, sort of in line with that trope. If any of them had purple eyes we could say they're referencing the Epic of Gilgamesh heheh. Or something like that. I remember some mythological thing being that people who were part god had white hair and purple eyes.

Only Minfillia and us are actually closer to the demigod thing. As 5.2 clarifies

Also, it just gives them a more esoteric, "special" air. Especially given this story comes from a country where basically everyone is brunette, I'd think. Same reason tons of anime characters have pink hair.

It’s a solidly burnt orange color In game. But the forum pic makes it hard to tell I agree. Lol

Seems like just carry overs from the character designs from 1.0 where those character originated. I'm not sure how much other explanation has been given.

Japanese game made for a Japanese audience. In Japan natural blond hair is rare. So its considered exotic.
Same reason as the Eldrick Brothers in FMA. Appeal to their audience.

It's basically a quick way to denote someone is special in some way, but it does become less special when the majority of your main cast all have white or very light blond hair, hah.

Haha i was wondering this too. It would be cool if there was more visual diversity among the scions. Not only hair color (all white or almost white?) but they are also all really light skinned/v pale, even Lyse who is the representative of the desert nation lmao. what gives
