All for this, just be as clear as possible when asking for the live letter, last thing want is SE to go overboard and remove more important confirmation windows. For example Extract can easily have its removed but Retrieve should keep its confirmation window.

I'd also like Retrieve materia be renamed to Remove materia, the 1st time I saw Extract and Retrieve I was nervous which did what, it's a 1 time thing but it is needlessly named too similar to each other.

Haha I actually made a post to Reddit about this very thing a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...us_every_time/

Even though I know the difference it was still a bit concerning each time I clicked on it because it would always pop up the confirmation window. Things like "extract" and "retrieve" being so similar are like when you go to the GC to buy something and can't remember whether it's under "Material" or "Materials" (although perhaps not quite to that level of bad).

Anyway, for Retrieve Materia, here's a good work-around for that:

First, move "Retrieve Materia" to a sub-tier of commands that are used less often than others. You can do this by clicking System → Character Configuration → Item Settings → Subcommand Customization (Open), and then move "Retrieve Materia" over to the Second Tier column on the right. You can even turn off certain options, but I wouldn't recommend that. Personally, I've moved "Retrieve Materia," "Desynthesis," "Discard," and "Link" all to the Second Tier. When I click on an item, this is now what it looks like:

Second, add the "Materia Extraction" button to one of your hotbars. You can find this under Character → Actions & Traits → General. I personally use both the Materia Extraction and Repair buttons as I find that it saves me time from having to open the Character window each time (although you still have to deal with the annoying confirmation windows).
