Retainer suggestion?

I had a thought today that it would be kind of cool if when you sent your retainer off on a mission, you could actually see them out in the world doing their thing, and so could other players... so that, for instance, if you saw another player's retainer out hunting monsters, you could help them defeat them and maybe there would be some interaction with your own retainer(s), or they'd give you some GC seals or gil to thank you for helping. I feel it would be interesting to see, and make the open world feel more active and organic. I'm not sure how feasible (if at all) this would be to implement from a technical stand-point, but I think it would be cool to see some retainer guy running around, and you could ask him if he's got anything for sale, etc. Thoughts?

Sort of. There are spots where a generic npc dressed in the starting retainer gear and mining will occassionally appear. The implication is that it is a retainer, but it's not someone's actual retainer.

Ahhh I see and here I was hoping to see my little lala botanist out doing his thing lol.
