    Assuming they phase out PS4 support at all... PS3 to PS4 was a matter of having to re-code the game to make it work since the system wasn't backwards compatible. But at this point if the game can play as-is on PS5, and the fact that the system specs of the PS4 exceed the minimum requirements for the game, and therefore aren't holding back future development, it's possible they never stop supporting it, or that they just continue on developing it as a PS4 game that is playable on PS5

    That being said, there's no official word from Square regarding this (it's kind of too soon for them to say really) and Sony is still testing the library of games to see which games do and do not work, but they said they expect the "overwhelming majority" of games to work. I am curious about this 99% number people keep using though... I haven't seen any numbers from Sony to know it will be that high...

    Hope they do like Blizzard did and increase minimum requirements
