Open world races, even if they had to use some phasing, would be pretty cool. I feel like an Azim Steppe (area) theme'd race would be awesome, a bit like the dungeon they made for the area. Heck they could have races through dungeons lol (beyond chocobo dungeon content and such too).

While I agree on the overhaul... I think chocobo racing in the Azim Steppe would look too much like racing in the Calm Lands and trigger my ptsd. lol
