Sky-BOT-Rankings (Saint title for ALL) Issue

Bots are incredibly inefficient. They excel at putting hours in, not at doing what they do well. When a person is also willing to put those hours in, as was the case for pretty much all the top 12 scorers, you will find that the bots can't keep up. Yes there were botters, but the reality is the human grinders were outscoring them per hour AND putting in close to the same hours (20+ hours per day). At that point, the humans are effectively "out-botting" the botters. For example, on FSH, someone mentioned that the bots were capable of scoring around 160k points per day. A human putting in massive hours and actually grinding FSH efficiently could put in 250-300k points per day, while still getting a few hours sleep. When you look at the number 1 fishers, worldwide, you will see they put out way more than a bot running 24hrs a day ever could.

Yes there were a few botters, but not nearly as many as you want to believe. It is a problem, but not something to burn the whole system down over. Those who put in the hours and worked at it got in the top 12, even if there was a bot or two in the mix. Crafting was especially easy to rank in because of how spread out it was across 8 classes. You could easily do one or two hard days of crafting and secure your spot in the top 12 if you wanted, on pretty much any server.

As someone who made #1 BTN on Aether/Sargatanas w/ 1mil+ points by spending +15hrs/day (due to being able to telework), I will be the first to volunteer to be screened by SE had they not already done so. Hell, I've had the pleasure to be in Diadem parties with multiple Top 12's throughout many instances including some Top 12 Streamers putting my mind at ease at the inflated notion that everyone and their grandma are botters.

Also as stated above, multiple players have been yoshi-pwn'd off the rankings due to botting. The sad truth is the only people who won were those that wanted it more and worked harder than the rest.
This, however, is not an insult and not something to be ashamed of nor a reason to go around to devalue the time and effort people put in.
I wanted #1 BTN on Aether DC, unfortunately someone wanted it more and worked harder than I did.
It's the unfortunately reality of this world that not everyone can be a winner - just like the Olympics.

Oh my glob you are from Hyperion, but your score is low guy, haven't you contemplated the idea, that you might have been doing something wrong? Especially if you got that score after farming 9hrs a day. Your score is of someone who did min effort. The high scores on your server were probably farming 15hrs a day at 20k per instance. I got 5th and did 500k more than you because the mindset of the top 12 was going for the top spots. If you actually analyze the scores you'll see a very serious drop on the scores from 20 under who basically gave up, and there was a the hoarding strategy, making you think someone was doing 50k a day while hoarding 20-30k every day to fool people into a safety sense, only to drop all mats at the last minute. This is a competition, getting high scores also required time, if you couldn't or wouldn't, that's not the fault of most of the top 12 who didn't cheat but actually sacrifice time during 10 days to get their titles. Don't undermine other people's work, just because you didn't prepare for this. BTW been caught botting is an instant ban, if they weren't banned SE didn't found proof of botting.

As a person who scored 3rd on my server on FSH while working a full time job (and 1st last season), everything I said I can back up with my own data. Everything I said is accurate, and all your hyperbolic troll talk won't change that.

That’s 19k an instance minimum if you were the <0.01% people who were unlucky enough to not hit any random +1 nodes in a run, as well as didn’t use any cordials going at a moderate/watching netflix pace and I normally had ~7 mins left over 90% of the time.

*Every 8 sets is an extra augur, can easily get +6 Additional Augurs = 780 Pts (7 if faster)
*Every extra BH2/KY2 you squeeze out with a Cordial is an additional +2nodes/26pts
*With efficient cordial use you can use ~50+ Hi-Cordials, extra 20,000 CP, 40x +2 Nodes/26pts = an additional +1,040pts
*Farming Hi-Cords is point loss, just buy HQ Cordials if you run out (or Spoils -> Hi-Cordials if you hate Sky Scrips)

If you're geared, know what you're doing and you have the time to put in, outscoring bots isn't hard. I was lucky that Adamantoise didn't have the stiff competition the other servers did but even so 15 hours a day, fishing stormchasers was enough for 100k+ a day, then towards then end when all those mats paid for my last bit of aesthetes and materia, fishing blind mantas (without optimal knowledge) got me to at least 150k+ a day.
Bots are a problem and yes they do need to be looked into/dealt with but the fiercest competition really isn't them, its the other players.

Oh I've been paying attention, and here in Primal Data Center, not one person was taken down from leadership board, even those actually CAUGHT botting. Once again, another person SWEARING that people with bot numbers aren't actually botting. SAD!

"bot numbers" For btn/mnr you can do over 100k a day off 15 hours/day. you can feasibly push that to 120-122k if you pull 18 hours. Inhuman ability is when you make start making 150k+ a day because thats when you're hitting a consistency that is unfeasible for people to do 10 days in a row. Show the class where people were consistently pulling those numbers and we'll have something to talk about.

There's pictures floating around of a rank 2 player asking on the "bot server" discord about licences. Now, that can be faked but i don't see why everyone would bother.

There are defiantly botters around there and yes a lot of players have high dedication that's true but some numbers do make your head scratch ... can you prove anything? Absolutely not especially not about things that

A: Happened a week ago
B: Happened likely in a apartment / Diadem were no one really paid attention.

However, from what little research i did, the fate bot and the crafting/gathering one is the same, so yea.

It is completely unfair for FF14 to have a competition for a limited time Title, OR ANY REWARD, that relies on a "top score" to win. This ranking season was FILLED with bot users, and no matter how much players swear they aren't, the daily numbers from all top 12 players, across all servers and data centers, TELL A DIFFERENT STORY.

Greetings from Coeurl, I placed #6 as a CUL and I can tell you that 1) some of my daily totals were quite low and 2) I crafted every single one of those points myself. If you're suggesting that everyone in the top 12 was botting I'd like to tell you kindly to reconsider that position, plenty of us were putting in the time and effort. Knowing how few points I put up some days and how terrible my stats were compared to a lot of folks, a lot of those totals don't seem impossible to me.

This may not be much, but it will make it that those who "bot" to the top did it for nothing, and maybe, just maybe, someone will learn a lesson that, "IF ONE PERSON CHEATS, NO ONE GETS A SPECIAL REWARD"

It will also deprive those who legitimately made the top 12 of the value of their reward, while unquestionably failing to teach people who bot a lesson. It's not like the problem is people are protecting the botters and SE can solve it by getting someone to squeal.

Your idea is just completely nonsensical. Calm down and think your "solutions" through before sharing them.
