Normally I would not entertain this idea but the art direction style and our game director have obviously been pulled to finish FF16 meaning FF14 has been neglected for this project.

Endgame outside of leveling a alt or doing raids is honestly pretty shallow compared to other MMO's. This MMO is a MASSIVE cashcow for Square Enix so honestly yeah I do expect more.

This has been the case for a very long time now and has nothing to do with 16. Rather, it's the formula they use for 14.
You can certainly fault them for that but 16 is the wrong target for your complaint.

Even without the pandamic you don't have time to be the producer of 2 big IP's at the same time.
