No one is telling you to shut up. If anyone understand the need to vent, it's me. lol People are simply disagreeing with how you handled your own thread from the get-go, not to mention some of the contents within and your replies since. There's a proper way to ask for something, and how you have handled this thread is not it at all.
This is how you have come across...
You are more likely to gain positive attention by using honey instead of vinegar. This isn't a personal attack or anything, just trying to point out where you went wrong and how you could (and should) approach something in the future.

If it had gone down for you the way it went down for me, you'd use the word "screwed" too.Because everyone's disappointed. I would love for it to come back so I can collect pieces I missed on alts. Or just so I can wear it around without feeling a little guilty that new people will see it and discover that they can't get it.
If you said "I wish we could get the GARO event back" I'd say "yes I agree, those costumes were amazing and it's a shame we lost them".
If you say "give me back this event you screwed me out of" I say you're being rude and demanding over something that they don't even have the power to grant if you asked nicely.
It's all in how you frame it.
This forum is more concerned with shaming and tone policing than actual issues.
You weren't 'screwed' out of Garo stuff. It was taken out because SE's deal with whoever owns Garo came to an end and it wasn't in the cards one way or another to keep it going indefinitely. And we had months of warning before it was removed.
It's unfortunate, I'd rather the items had stayed in forever, but that's how these sorts of deals go sometimes.
...I wouldnt call a crossover-promotion event ending (and the contract not being re-negotiated) an "issue", per se.
And if you want to consider it an issue, the logical fix for this would be: No more crossover events that cant stay forever. So no GARO. At all. Since they cant turn back the clock, the fix for you would be to pretend that it was never in the game in the first place.
Its within the nature of such crossover events that they involve a certain contract - its not enterily up to SE or the devs to bring such an event back. So the only solution would be to not have such crossovers in the first place (I'm sure a lot of people would even be very happy with that - having FFXIV stay more "pure" and "original").
They should bring it back. Make it permanent.
Along all other seasonal events during their season.
That's all.
No player should lose a chance to something just because "he wasn't there". This is a videogame, not a life simulator.
"The will of my friends has etched into my heart, and now ill transform this infinite darkness into eternal light
Unmatched in heaven and earth, one body and one soul that challenge the gods!"
Aside from the fact that it was around for two years. Okay, sure, not everyone was there during that entire period. Fair. Bringing it back for a couple months wouldn't hurt.
But for the winning part.
Just get good man. Plenty guides and community discords out there to help you figure it out.
The difference is what you attribute the "screwing" to. You speak as if the programmers looked at you, personally, and decided you shouldn't be allowed to have this thing, snatching it away without giving you a chance.
You were screwed by random chance or "the universe", not SE.
It was a scheduled event. You arrived late. It's nobody's fault that you missed out.
You can either resent it, or accept that it was unfortunate timing and move on.
