That a (controversial, apparently) improvement was made does not mean it must preclude obvious QoL.

I just can't imagine caring that I'm like 5% less efficient than the theoretical maximum at generating worthless garbage.

Then don't care. Feel free also to chalk up anyone else's caring to OCD. But what harm does it do you?
