Suggestion: Investigate the players at the top of the leader board

Looking at how some of these likely botters have gained 200-300K points in the span of a single day, I'm getting really concerned about people's spots in the rankings getting sniped by people who choose to start late. Literally anyone who has the gear and resources to craft experts can just turn on a bot to secure themselves a top 12 spot if they feel like it.

Last season I was getting 250k a day in ALC during the last five days or so. Not saying that there aren't bots currently camping out in their inns/houses right now, but most people who get 200-300k a day are legit. Once you get a feel for the experts it's really not that hard to start pumping out numbers.

As for people who start late, well... that can't be helped. Like the people who started day one, they were aware of the date rankings would begin. People can't be expected to not begin ranking up so they can wait for people who start late. This just comes with the territory of a timed competition. Not everyone will be able to compete and come out in the top.

I'd be a bit less suspect of them if not for the fact that they only ever seem to be crafting in the wee hours of night/morning after spending the rest of the day doing other non-DoL/H activities and seemingly never log off.

Well I scored 167k points yesterday on my fisher, sitting at 278k now, and I can assure that I am not a botter. My account doesn't even have a PC license.

I just have lots of free time and prepared myself months in advance with high cordials, buffood and stockpiled materia to pentameld my gear.

100-300k per day is actually quite legit on crafter if you know what you.are doing, sure maybe 10 or more hour per day but i play game more than that.

uh , i was there like 3hrs in two days, made 30k points on fisher, when you know where to fish , what to do , you have enough time

yeah it can look suspicious, but im not sure how it can be a bot thing / like no idea how those bots works , so you might be true , but still

Wee hours of the morning for you are normal hours for others who live in other parts of the world or who don't have the normal 9-5 job/sleep at night.

But hey go ahead and report me as a bot just because I'm doing most of my crafting at night when I'm awake but most of my friends aren't so I'm better off doing solo content like crafting.

Bold to assume I even bother reporting people anymore after SE's consistent lack of action against the people who were plainly obvious about using bots such as the glitched Diadem ones I mentioned in my first post or even doing things that are straight up impossible like moving around and using actions while maintaining AFK status.

If they won't do anything about the DoL ones they sure as hell aren't going to touch the DoH bots, and the only ones I've actually reported in that regard previously are ones I've also specifically seen DoL botting as in all likelyhood if they're doing it for one activity they do it for both.

The point stands that it is a lot harder to tell if someone is botting on DoH classes then DoL. The only possible sign is the fact I've seen some established DoL botters just spamming actions non-stop while doing expert recipes, since logically, a bot does not need any actual time to think about what action to use next...though one could still reason that some players really are just that fast.

A leaderboard around a grinding activity within a game with no anti-cheat system. Nobody could have seen this coming clearly.

In PvP there was once a very obvious wintrader a few seasons ago, SE completly removed him from the leaderboards after dark week, the last week of the season. Sounds nice right? Turns out he still got the title and rewards a week later anyway despise being removed from it.

With how short this crafting/gathering season is, by the time they actually do something the rewards will be out already...

I've gathered, we don't even have a NA branch of the STF to hunt down bots.

I’m starting to wonder if we have an NA anything at this point. I see the EU team all the time and it feels like NA stands for Not Around...

Ehhh, I've put in 65000 points on fsh today, sure doing it all day but also take breaks and indulging in other content. I don't think its impossible for someone to truly no life those 120000 points. At least, speaking for the adamantoise leaderboard only.

On Exodus we have a Fisher who is at the #1 spot who was over 250K points within 24 hours as a FSH. When 2nd place is only 50K, something's up. It's Day 2 now, and he has over 420K points while second place has just over 108K points. It's obviously a bot when it's that big of a gap that quickly.
