Castrum Abania. I was SAM. Other DPS was RDM. WAR tank and AST healer. Now, I have AST at 80 and it's fast becoming a co-main because I enjoy healing on it. But the AST in this dungeon was just...bad. I don't know how else to put it. During boss fights, he/she would just pop Collective Unconsciousness and do nothing else. The tank died about three or four times. The AST would at least rez him, but I would usually be second on the aggro list, so as soon as the tank fell, I'd quickly go down next. Every boss fight went like this.

But no one said anything, including myself. We just got through it and left. No one said "gg" or "ty" or anything. We just left the second the last boss (finally) went down. And the AST seemed oblivious they were doing anything wrong. They would do the Bees Knees dance before every boss pull like everything was okay. It was annoying but I just don't think it's worth saying anything. Just finish, get your tomestones, and move on.

I just had to vent a little bit. That was the most annoyed I've been in DF in quite sometime.

Probably the other two were just as frustrated as you were. I know I've had runs like that where the moment it's done I want out, don't care if I deserved a comm or not.

I ran Gunbreaker for the time on any instance ever and landed on Keeper of the Lake, had a SCH, DNC, and new to the instance BLM.

I immediately said I was new to tanking on GNB and asked the healer how hard she wanted me to go, and told me whatever I felt okay with. We wiped on the last boss a few times from forgetting the mechanics and the BLM being blind, but it was genuinely a good time!

Probably the most pleasant experience I ever had in any instance as a Tank! PLD is getting shelved. Gunbreaker in my new friend.

Ah yes, the "Use Hallowed Ground every pull! What? 7 minute CD timer? I don't care!" line of argument.

I think it's more an argument that "The only point in common between that many of your runs... is you."

I.e., you've exceeded the level of "it's all the healers' fault" that most tanks would find believable. We all have similar horror stories, but they are the rarity by far.

Lol that reminds me of a Run in Cutter's Cry I had with a Paladin that DIDN'T USE IRON WILL THE WHOLE DUNGEON, despite me (WHM) and the other two reminded them again and again in chat IRON WILL, IRON WILL, IRON WILL, IRON WILL. Why your story reminded me of that incident is because that person also use emotes all the throughout the dungeon, lol, like '<their name> agreed wholeheartedly with Kahoru Hagane' at various points and also towards the other two DPSes. It was baffling. I actually went ahead and use the cry emote at some point during the run and the other two patted and cheered my character, lol.

That was an equally frustrating and entertaining run.

Had a near wipe on Titan hard for my trial roulette on an alt. I was mch. Rest of party comp was PLD DRK WHM WHM SMN DRG MCH.

We got the notice that someone was new, unfortunately no one spoke up. One of the whm said if he died he would quit the game. Pact has been sealed boiz.

Titan proceeds to smash our party repeatedly. The drg somehow got knocked off the edge, the other mch died to not paying attention to the bomb drops, then gets knocked off. Smn just simply dies repeatedly to aoes, last res gets them knocked off. The drk died a few times due to aoes then gets knocked off. The silent whm uses lb2 after just a few of us are alive then dies to aoe.

Healer lb2 when people are dead and not on the platform. My head tilted some at that.

The dead drk was trying to spam directions on how to dodge the bomb mechanics, but since there were only three of us left (me the mch, the pld and the whm that said they'd quit the game if they died), we finish Titan off and drag the rest of the party across the finish line. That whm lived to play another day.

Today I had probably the worst party I've had in a long while.

Got Amaurot as GNB with a SCH, a SAM and a RDM. I notice on the first pull that the SCH is a physic spammer, and I assume the mobs are dying slower than usual because of that. How wrong was I.

I pull the two groups before the first boss and start cycling my cds starting with nebula (the one with a cooldown of 120s). Time goes by and after literally cycling everything, and starting to get sick of the physic sound effect, nebula came off cooldown when the mobs were still around 10% hp. DPS was that bad.

It took us around forty minutes to clear the whole dungeon.

Been having bad experiences with Legend players recently. 2 specific instances came to mind, with the last one just happened today:

1. Hero's Gauntlet: PLD DNC NIN and me as AST. PLD and DNC are cat couples and both are Legends. I know this one is easy even for dungeon standard but they just wouldn't stop emoting each other throughout the run. My chat got cluttered because of the emote spam these 2 were doing. That wasn't even the worst part; PLD legit didn't pop any CDs AND decided to eat all baddies possible that he had 6 vul stacks at one point. His gears are top notch, but he melted faster than a tank with i475-480. DNC died twice, both to Berserker giant sweep, because she couldn't be bothered to duck in the crater (why tho? ranged can still DPS at the edge of the crater).

2. Mt. Gulg: PLD (Legend), SAM, RDM, and me as SCH. PLD was doing great as a tank; big pulls, proper CD management, mob placements. The thing is... enemies were dying slowly. At a closer look, I noticed that RDM was hardcasting spells like veraero and impact. So I brought it up in chat after the lion boss: "Why are you hardcasting spells?" but no response until the end of wall boss. PLD thought I was talking to him and said: "Did I hardcast spells? Didn't notice that." (honestly it didn't occur to me that PLD can cast spells too at the time of writing) so I said no, I was referring to the RDM. He then proceeded to mass pull everything after boss 2; from 4 girls all the way to the room where the giant later appeared. Normally I'd be happy to oblige, but he must've realized by now that our DPS is not the strongest. Still, we managed the pull and after the giant was dead, he said: "you're one to talk, casting succor during pulls like that. Chill, it's just a levelling dungeon". I snapped when I read that and said: "tell the lions to stop casting holy that deals aoe dmg and then we'll talk. until then, take a seat and sit down". Yes, this is levelling dungeon... the HIGHEST one we have right one. RDM plays pretty much the same from the level we unlock it and 50-79 and was I so wrong to ask why a lv 79 RDM still hardcast spells? It's not like I was expecting top notch performance or anything close to it.

I used to admire people with Legend titles. It shows dedication because I've seen how hard the battles are and I used to correlate the titles with competence. I don't feel like that anymore and it's just like mentor crown to me nowadays. No wonder Aether PF is cluttered with Ultimate services; it all starting to make sense now. At the end of the day it boils down to supply and demand.

Finally had a copied factory run w/o dying.
Also, I usually die repeatedly to hashmal. I technically had a no death rabanastre run today as well. I 90002'd in hasmal. When I got back, I was still alive, and the fight was over. XD
