





That makes sense though - if you need to attune to an aetheryte before teleporting to it, then of course you're going to have to physically travel to a new destination, but you can freely teleport back home at any time.





Derp, wasn't thinking when I was responding. Just the most recent memory of the ship travel jumped to mind, not the reason why. Whoops. Still, the entirety of the Scion cast that went East in 4.0 went back by boat, despite everyone theoretically being capable of teleportation. It's very much a whim of the writer thing.

i don't recall if Thancred went with, but i know that he's canonically incapable of using either spell (or anything else that requires aether manipulation) since the whole incident with Flow.Derp, wasn't thinking when I was responding.
