If you aren't forced to buy it, and we got tons of other cool mounts ingame, what's the drama exactly? SE earning extra money which will be used to make more content?

There is no drama, not on my end at least? I'm saying let people buy what they want to buy, but we don't have to pretend like we're doing them a favor or making a donation (which was happening earlier in the thread.) Why is this controversial?

Oh. I'm a bit confused. Of course it's not a donation; we're buying something from SE. If they want our money, they need to create content that will make us want to pay for it, as no one will pay for nothing.

As for doing them a favour, I guess people mean that the money we spend will help the game grow, which is true as far as I know (we definitely get more content now than we did in the first patches).

Whoa, you are questioning their beliefs. The dev team is their friend and this isn't a business. You should trust your friends and not question them. Also you should send them gifts.

No items are made by other regions. The other regions pay SE to make those items for them.

I don't know what is true. But the friends of SE definitely do not believe your statement. I have seen multiple defense of cash shop that state otherwise. Maybe instead of selling more merch on LL they could clarify how this is all developed. But again they aren't really are friends and don't owe us anything.

IIRC Yoshi-P said that's how it works on a stream at some point. Makes sense if you think about it, they have all the tools to do it and they make stuff all the time.
