If there is a timer, it is so miniscule that it is impossible to make use of. Duo'ing up thaum with a friend we noticed numerous times mobs would aggro within 1 second of appearing.

Add 2 seconds of lag to it... and you got 3 seconds total.
The problem is that all actions are calculated server-side, so for you it's one second, while for the server it's more like 3-5. I do agree they have to give us a bit more time to react, but imho it's a problem of lag...

Lag is a moot point since the technical aspects of this make no difference, let the SE devs worry about it. The reality is freshly spawned mobs seem to aggro instantly. If there isn't a timer one should be added, if there is a timer the thing should be increased to the point it's actually noticeable.Add 2 seconds of lag to it... and you got 3 seconds total.
