Don't understand why they don't just completely overhaul the entire system instead of applying band-aid after band-aid attempting to appease people. The current system is horrendous.

People expect instanced housing to be a perfect cure with everyone getting a permanent 400 furniture slot house and a large garden, but it could just as well be very close to the already existing apartment system with maybe a greenhouse attached. The same apartment system which many players ignore on purpose because there is limited space.

I really like how housing is and it's wonderful that they are going to make housing available to more people without compromising houses of anyone affected by the pandemic. Perhaps in the next patch they should look into implementing the demolish timer again.

On many servers last ward addition private purchasers didn't even get a shot at housing. All the new houses were sold to FC and Shell (private) FC's before SE opened them to everyone. I think many are happy they at least have a shot at getting one this time without having to compete with 20 other people clicking a placard for hours.

I agree though the housing is going to be a free for all and most likely most will be sold out within the half hour. You can be sure this forum will be full of threads about the housing debacle and how people couldn't get into zones and so on.

I'm wondering if transfers will have their former houses go on timer or if they'll be added to the no demolition moratorium. They should be made immediately available with no timer as well in my opinion. Perhaps they'll lift the moratorium on demolition before 5.35 open or have it coincide with it.

I wouldn't want a instance housing.
Can't get a house, just get an apartment and wait until you can snag one.

Why can't there be both - the current wards for those who like the wards plus instanced house plots for those who just want a house and could care less about being on display in a ward?

I appreciate the new housing plots, but they would not need to add them in the first place if they would re-enable housing demolition. That would solve their problems with housing. End the practice of disabling housing demolition.

They don't turn off demolition system out of a pure whim, you know, there's always a reason for it. They will reenable it once the situation in world is stable again.

That is literally what a lot of people are asking for. More would be better, but the suggestion of just adding some sort of gardening plots to apartments has been suggested several times. The current system is archaic and only exists to cause strife.
