When viera first came out they didn't have these warnings, but it's nice to see that they added them since then.


SWTOR is probably worse about this. Three or more races as far as I know that can't wear any headgear. Not a norm, but also not unique to this game.

SE is content with viera/hrothgar being limited. I don't think they really feel there is much of a need to fit most headgear to them. They also seem to have a sense of quality control. They will let viera use some of the smaller hats, but the potential worst offenders of ear clipping are not usable.

That's a bad precedent when you consider au ra horns clip through everything, or get adjusted around the hats (hats are stretched/slanted/moved up a bit to avoid the horns). If they can do it for one they can do it for all. They need to be called out for their inconsistency.

There's a precedent there and they're following it, but it's one that goes beyond the raid and defines the types of headgear that work and the types that don't.

The first raid head pieces are headbands or small hats that don't affect the hair. Those work.

The second raid pieces are large hats that cover the entire upper half of the head. Those do not work.

This was never explained officially. officially they said they would not make hats/helmets for the limited races then they do add hats for them. To the point where copied factory had hoodies that went over their heads, so it's not just cloth over the eyes.

Actually I would fantasia to Viera if they only have more hairstyles. I don't normally wear headgear other than glasses, clips or hair ornaments anyway.

They do seem to be pretty inconsistent with their quality control. Though, au ra horns are on the side of their heads, and it's quite a bit easier with most hats in the game. Helmet clipping is pretty bad, but I imagine viera's could be worse, or they think it is worse. Well, they definitely think so, otherwise viera would be able to use them. There is a definite pattern to the majority of the working headgear for viera. Funnily enough, speaking of inconsistency, a lot of the working headgear clips with viera hair, or floats pretty horrendously.

I don't play viera but... As someone who likes to collect hairstyles, that would be my main issue with them... as far as the aesthetics go, of course.

I do know that if I did play viera, I sure as hell wouldn't mind it if my bunny ears just BURST through hats and stuff... Better than nothing, I suppose.

The fact that they're like...what? 3rd most played female says otherwise about how much people care about hats.

They are everywhere and I'm disappointed but I'm not changing any of mine back. Having alts does give me other races to have fun with too. It would be nice to get some kind of statement from the development team about what we can expect now that it's been more than a year. I'm not expecting much from headgear but would really like to see quite a few additional hairstyles.

Well yes but actually no, no one demands super fancy solutions, just clip the dam ears through everything, its not like you can just cut 2 holes for long bunny ears on any hood or hat. Im sorry but if they can fit it for all other races then this should be done too...

(and no i dont evne play viera, nor do i usually wear hats, its just after 4 patches of gear you might think at least the new stuff fits)

I use to be a viera so I feel you guys.
90% sure the viera players would rather have hairstyles over couple more silly hats.
