"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Especially if you actively play more than 15 classes, how often do you change each classes glamour?
I think the bigger concern right now is expanding space in the glamour dresser.
I can swap plates and sometimes it's a bit of a hassle, but not nearly as much as rotating things in and out of my dresser (especially since that uses up a lot of glamour prisms).
It's not changing the glamour for a job that's the issue with only 15 plates, it's multiple jobs sharing the same gear that necessitates more glamour plates than we have. If I want to have different glamour for BLM, RDM and SMN, for example, I have to use 3 glamour plates because they all share the same gear. If a person is okay with having 1 glamour for each disciple type then they'd only need 7 or 8 plates (+1 if you include BLU since it likely needs lower level glamour gear than your other casters), however, as soon as you start wanting different glamours for different jobs you very quickly start running out of plates. Even if you completely ignore DoH/DoL you would still need 17 glamour plates (18 with BLU) to glamour all the jobs differently and already we don't have enough. And that's not counting other things you might want to set up a glamour plate for.Especially if you actively play more than 15 classes, how often do you change each classes glamour?

Yes, I understand that. That's... not really relevant to what I was saying?
I didn't say anything about plates for roles, I commented on people that actively play more than 15 classes and want a plate for each. So I'm not sure what part of my quote your comment is trying to work off of.

It sounds like what you're saying is "you don't need to keep plates around unless you want to edit them often". The thing is, if you have multiple classes with shared gear but want different glamours for each, you need a glamour plate for each even if you never edit the glamours. Like I have SMN, BLM and RDM each using a different glamour for the same gear. Each of the gear sets is linked to a different glamour plate, and I must keep the plates reserved for those classes. Then there's the fact that I need to re-apply glamours when upgrading gear, which isn't exactly a rare occurrence.Yes, I understand that. That's... not really relevant to what I was saying?

Now, gear sets can already store the glamour used when the set was saved, and give you a warning if gear with different glamours was equipped. Why not make them able to apply the glamours instead of just check them? That would give an extra glamour plate per gear set essentially for free. It would also be nice to have the ability to take glamour from the saved set when equipping new items.

The reason I say it's not relevant is because you guys are introducing the idea that you can make plates for each class in a role.
My comment was a blanket "let's say you want to use more than 15 plates..."
I don't care what you wanna plate or why. That's tangential to what I said.
You quite specifically said "how often do you change each classes glamour" as the reason why someone wouldn't really need more than 15 plates. You're the one that introduced it. We're telling you that's not the reason. The frequency of changing what is on a plate has much less to do with wanting more of them than just being able to have 1 glamour for every job.

Sure, but if you're actively playing 15 different classes, you can have a glamour plate for each one.
If you're actively playing 16 or more classes, are you really using them all so much where they each need their own plate?
All the DoL and DoH classes muddy things up, but is there really nowhere you can double up?
No. Just on weapon alone nevermind not wanting to look the same, or worse, have whatever random hodgepodge mix'n'match of gear underneath the glam that you happen to get when switching within a role if you're using some job-specific glam.Sure, but if you're actively playing 15 different classes, you can have a glamour plate for each one.

30 is the number that I think we should have.

30 is a nice number, and one that will be useful to many people.
However, before we get 30 plates I think it would be more useful to have more glamour dresser space.
That's all I'm trying to voice.
I'm not arguing that we shouldn't have more plates.
