Welp, like I said, if it was gonna be Haukke Manor again I don't see much point. All the other seasonal events change up the quests, so not sure why not, with Halloween? Heck, even a return to Doma Castle in FFVI with the Dream Stooges would be awesome.

The Halloween-quest is being changed up each year aswell - they just put the Manor in as something added to the "main event", just like they've been adding the card-reading-ladies for Valentines Day (though I think they were missing this year?) and the little "partner-test".
The point is probably that they used up ressources to build this once for a 2-3 week event and dont want to see it go completly to waste - there is also new players who havent done the Manor yet and seeing how we cant visit the Halloween-version the year round, I'm always happy to see it again myself!

Not that I dont like your suggestion, but your base-assumption is wrong - since the first year when the Manor was the main thing, we've always been getting our event-quest that was more or less involved and at the end of a little note added with "oh, btw, you can go back into the Manor this year aswell".

You know... you're right.
I'm glad you said something, because this really helped reframe my perspective.
Though... I still think it would be fun if they made another spooky area for us to explore.
