Wanting this to change really bad doesn't allow to spout any nonsense you want, just because you have no argument to give for the people who don't want it changed.

Either it's a challenge or it isn't. You don't get to flipflop on it, whenever you feel like it.
You may not know the meaning of these words, but I will explain just in case, I cannot do this because it is difficult (and therefore surmountable), I cannot, because I am physically incapacitated (it is impossible at all). This has been mentioned here many times. And the fact that the mechanics itself captivates only the child is not necessary to think and analyze in it. This makes it easy for a healthy person and at the same time impossible for a person with disabilities. You must understand that you are confused with terms. And no, the game should not force a person to buy third-party equipment or jerk other people for a quick spam on buttons. This is a terrible and lazy design for a game like this. And so the game did not have much years of this and was casual until this moment. People ask to be courteous, since you have allowed disabled people in the game community.

The problem is the death of the entire group. Here people have already come to a compromise. Do it like Hades or remove the death of the group. There is no delete question here. However, this was ignored, as was the problem itself. Note this: As one weird cat said here, you play the victim without argument, because he can hit on average 4 times per second. And it doesn't matter to him that they can't 4 buttons per second, for them GCD some possibilities were always acceptable, because GCD is one press on average for 1.8-2.4 seconds, which is a huge difference compared to 4 clicks per second. The game itself hasn't been a problem until now. You may have a perception problem and should see a doctor

this might be a dumb question but, what happen when you fail QTE in FF14

throughout my play i never seen anyone fail QTE (and i dont want to fail myself on purpose because how dumb easy it is), did you die if you fail? the whole party? or just receive major damage or such?

You fail the instance in this particular case. In all past QTE's they'd just kill the one person who failed.

You will wipe the party and you will not be able to go further on the plot.

I had the idea of having the person who can't pass the QTE just log themselves out from the game before engaging so that they aren't in the instance when the QTE starts, and this might allow them to get past (I don't know if it actually works that way, though... could someone verify?)

However, immediately after the QTE comes the boss's ultimate... and because someone isn't there, that means you'll be missing one LB bar... meaning you'll somehow have to make do with just a tank LB2. You only need to have one person survive this to get checkpointed though, so maybe if you barrier/mitigate up one tank super hard they could conceivably still live through it? Maybe?

Still though, even if this could work, it's obviously not an elegant/practical solution by any means.

In all past QTE's they'd just kill the one person who failed.
This is only true for QTEs where the whole party must participate. There have been some before that wipe the party if failed, such as bladelocking Susano's sword or holding down Rathalos while the elephant add is killed. However in all of these instances only one person, generally/ideally a tank, had to do the QTE, and they've also still been much easier on the amount of hand dexterity required.

This is the first one that has the whole party participate AND kills everyone if any of them fail. Before, it's only been one or the other.

There is nothing to argue about here.
This is not high-level content for a select few. This is just a story quest. And that needs to be changed.
No, i'm not here to argue.
But, let me ask you this one question without being offended since this is out of pure curiousity (just a warning):

HOW hard do you mash the keys? And i mean people in general, everybody.

I failed the instance just yesterday because of a newbie and i told them that they can just normally type something or hit a few keys in a semi-fast rythm and it was no problem.
I hit 2 keys in the rythm of the clock in the background, i mashed the first time i did the QTE but i noticed that my mashing (on keyboard) will NOT keep it even half filled so i noticed that it's just pseudo struggle to make it suspenseful.

Please do NOT mash the ever living hell out of this QTE in the first place, you do not NEED too! You do NOT need to keep the bar filled a lot! The LOWER it gets, the EASIER it is!

No, i'm not saying that this will solve all and every problem. Like i said, not here to argue over can and can't. I'm just saying that you do not need to mash your everything out of this QTE since it seems like people are thinking that you need to mash extremely fast. But you don't.

Also if you say "i did slow and i failed" i would like to know where the limit of how slow you can be is then. While i don't care if the QTE stays as long as it is or gets shorter or whatever, knowing the speed COULD help some people.

kinda doubt i'll get answers to it but i'm really curious and just wanted to say that extreme mashing is not needed...

Unfortunately this is highly unlikely, all mechanics requiring LB tank, at LB below 3rd, just kill you..

Not only is this a plus of the old qte, but also that you could have played the role without this mechanic

I will answer that when you try to press QTE in the rhythm of GCD and 1 press per second is not enough
