Billing system in GBP is actually cheaper then EUR

Part 1 (3000 character limit);

Just to bring to your attention;

- For those who's playing in Tonberry server (Not sure if this matters but would rather much state the current state of during this observation anyways)
- For those who is subscribed to this game using credit card (instead of game time)
It's actually cheaper to get billed in GBP then EUR.

I played this game with a friend and we got billed separately.
Friend got billed in Pounds Sterling and I got billed in Euro.
The issue is the conversion rate!

Both of us selected the following option;
- Entry
- An introductory subscription allowing 1 character per World (monthly billing only).
* A maximum of 8 characters can be created.

It costs me 10.99 Euro for 30 days
It costs my friend 7.69 GBP for 30 days
(Both on same plan)

If you go to XE Currency Converter (https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/),
10.99 Euro = 17.73 Singapore Dollars
7.69 GBP = 13.82 Singapore Dollars

I am paying roughly about 3.91 Singapore Dollars per month more then my friend!
If you tally that up to 12 months, it's 46.92 Singapore Dollars per year!
I'm not sure about others, but me personally; there's a lot you can do with that amount of money including getting another 3 months of game-time!

And even if you convert 7.69 GBP to Euro, it only amounts to 8.55 Euro!

This is comparing APPLE to APPLE directly!
Both playing on Europe Server
Both playing on Tonberry

Huge discount for buying bigger packs only applies IF you get the Standard plan, not the Entry plan, in which I have no intention of getting that since I'm only playing on one character for the moment..... unless if there's a bigger packs discount if you get the entry plan that I am unaware of.

After knowing this information, your think your step would be to change your 'country' in settings somewhere where you'd get billed in GBP right? I've actually submitted 2 cases to S.E. with regards to this (14119375 and 14149840) and they mentioned that this can't be done!

The 2 exact responses was;

Unfortunately it is impossible to change the location originally registered onto an account, and the same is true for the selected payment currency. We have passed on your feedback about the issue but regrettably we cannot assist you further than this.We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is ever anything else we can do for you.

I am unsure as to why they've 'conveniently' disabled it nor at this point do I want to know.
Bottom line; for the SAME type of service, I ended up paying MORE as compared to those who got billed in different currency.
In any case, I hope the following information will help save some money for those who's thinking of investing this game in the long run.

PS: Unsure if this also applies to mogstation stuff as what I'm discussing is just the monthly billing subscription system.

It's not a server thing. I'm in australia and my account is EU. Not sure which currency I've seen on mog station, I'm thinking at least previously it was EUR, by memory of typing in a conversion search, but I just saw the store page and their was a GBP pricing. Last time I subscribed was with a time card from the SE store in local currency

My take it is that it has something to do with the 'country' which you set where you're from when you first create your account.
As shown in the 2nd part of the post~
