Yea I think Limited jobs, are really popular and overall very good for the game, they have a low point of balance and offer a lot of creative content to be done. Plus it lets more niche jobs get to feel good instead of getting hacked in to fit the meta.

Limited job simply suffers from the lack of 'replay value'. Once you have all skills (and cleared all savage if that's your thing), there is no reason to play blue mage anymore until it gets a new update.
It would be a lot better with few improvements, like PotD access or a 'limited job roulette'.
If there was a limited job roulette, I would probably play it more than most of the other classes in the game to be honest (as long as the rewards for it are more than poetics).
Not being able to do current content is not even my biggest concern with this concept, but not having content at all is not great...
That said, I still totally understand that those who wanted Blue Mage as a job are unhappy.

Anyways, regarding 6.0, I also think a healer and a caster will happen.
My expectations is on Apothecary as a healer and a hammer-wielding Time Mage as a DPS.
And based on what they said recently, I also expect a Summoner revamp. So, maybe Time Mage will be the new DoT mage, and Summoner will be a 100% pet-based?
    I would like that personally.

Agreed. Final Fantasy has been host to many jobs over the decades, several of which are... not exactly practical to an MMO. And on the flip-side, Limited jobs allow representation for jobs that would be too imbalanced to add to raid content, or allow the dev team to unleash their creativity without having to worry about balance.

I mean, the Self Destruct combo wasn't just powerful, it was also dumb fun. I think there are a lot of purists out there who think that every resource the devs have should go towards the end-game raid scene and that "gimmicks" don't deserve to exist, but at the end of the day, 14's a game that appeals to millions of players, so there's no reason not to include dumb fun from time to time.

Having Time Mage as a DoT DPS caster would be about the only reason I think they could justify adding it, honestly, considering the overlap with AST if it were a healer. And we do definitely have room for a DoT caster to take the weight off of SMN and free it to pursue pets.

As of yet though, there's nothing to say that Gaia's powers can be replicated into a full job (since they seem to be unique to her role as the Oracle of Darkness), and Yoshi-P's previous declaration that we'll never see Haste added, on top of the aforementioned overlap with AST, keeps me from getting my hopes up. I would otherwise be perfectly willing to accept AST as this game's rename of Time Mage if the devs came out and said it, given the job's lore.
There's not quite enough for me to say what the next caster definitively is or isn't, but while Time Mage could fill the niche... there's not enough available to throw my lot in with it as yet.

I'm still holding out hope that they'll make the next healer a Witch Doctor -- which, yes, could include aspects of Chemist/Salve Maker/Apothecary, particularly given the only thing we yet know about Meracydian Witch Doctors is that they do use potions.
Between that side-venture at the start of 5.3 about the girl wanting to be a wandering potion healer and the random old man in Terncliff reminiscing about having been a potion doctor, it seems a lot of strong hints we'll see potion representation in the next healer.
I personally think Chemist alone is one of those jobs I mentioned above that isn't wholly practical to an MMO due to its historic focus on items, and reinventing Mix without items could step on another job's toes (like AST or NIN) in addition to their previous attempts creating AST in the first place... but if infused with some other aspects like some shamanism and witchcraft, they could reasonably represent the potion-tossing healer people keep begging for while having the leeway to dodge implementing Mix entirely.

There are certainly a lot of options for new mages, and all of them could be either role pretty much. Chemist, Necromancer, Geomancer, Time Mage, Mystic. And that’s just ones that have something vaguely resembling a reason behind their inclusion, we could easily see something more out of left field like Astrologian was.

    1. Healer. I have no idea what sort of healer. Nonetheless given that healer classes are most needed right now healer is must have.
    2. Non-melee damage dealer.

I don't expect more than 2 jobs because of certain nasty virus.

I'd really like them implement a melee that isn't a slave to the 1-2-3 combo system that they all use right now.

I think from this point on we'll probably only get one new job per expansion. I remember them saying it'll start to become too much to manage the more jobs they introduce. So I believe we'll just be getting a new healer. Geomancer and Apothecary are the most likely ones.

Kinda hard to say. They have pretty much every core job covered now, and gunbreaker opened the door to actual characters being turned into classes now. And the fact they tied jobs to weapons kinda limits the possibilities of many.

So i see a few obvious options
A Zidane copy that uses a double blade.
A Yuffie copy that uses a giant shuriken throwing weapon.

And the ever growing list of Dissidia characters as this is where i think they pulled most of the GNB toolkit from, of course they also match the 8 appearence, but the animations would be easier to pull over.
They could copy Rinoas whole moveset to make a new healer class, the arm blade launcher thing could be used as the spell caster or incorporate chemist abilities to launch potions at people.
