I would like an option to toggle animation stances like that, but sometimes on my NIN I used to make a classic Kratos glamour and ran around. I think he runs the same way in those games, but it's been ages since I played them.

NIN runs are pretty cool. On the other way, male NINs need to have that female NIN weapon pose cos it would look cool on them too.
I like the heated shots, but I've never been against having options that let players customize their experience to their liking, I also wouldn't mind losing the Naruto run, it tends to look very awkward on taller characters, I really appreciate how they took the time to actually change how you run/jump around when you go from class -> job and actually wish that more jobs did this, but I would also like the option to toggle it if you prefer the old set of animations.
SONIC RUN.... sorry for the caps but Sonic had that run LONG before overrated anime ninja boy got it. And yes.... I had to correct it. The nerd in me rages when people give anime boy credit for something he didn't create.
Lalafells get their own Ninja Sprinting animation and I think it looks very cool.
I don't know why anyone would be against more player choice at little to no cost to yourself.

But if these changes were made they would impact nothing you do in the slightest and only be a positive for those who want it? The only negative is however little dev time it would take to make a toggle, so if its basically only a net positive why would you be against it?

I dunno how to make it sound without looking like an ass so I'll just be honest. I just don't want it changed. For anyone. I like the fact all ninjas run that way, and all animations for mch are the same. honestly it'll never happen anyway, I don't think there' sa game that even does this. Ryu throws his hadoken the same way for everyone on everything. If the animations make some people hate the job then play another job. I'm not trying to be mean.. but that's just how I legit feel. But if these changes were made they would impact nothing you do in the slightest and only be a positive for those who want it? I agree with OP- there should be a toggle because the ninja run is funny to watch & good for memes. I always sheath my weapons before I run as a ninja because of how silly it looks- I'd prefer the toggle between rogue run & ninja- there's no harm in letting someone choose between it.
I'd wish there was a toggle as well to DRK weapon holding animation & DRK victory pose & the males holding stance to toggle between female stance because the Cloud buster sword thing is /eyeroll & meme quality- instead of them holding the blade in a fashion that would give them 1 massive hulk arm & terrible tennis elbow- to instead hold the paddle blade to their side, so they could swoop up- it'd just be more realistic in that small aspect.

The thing is, there's already precedent for this within this game, back in stormblood players had the options to toggle the gaussbarrel model and animations on their character off, same with the ability to toggle bahamut sizes and carbuncle on smn, and theres plenty of games ive played which has cosmetic animations (not fighting games like your example because their animations are an important balance point). The point about switching job, whilst to an extent true, it sucks to have an aspect of something you like get completely overwritten by a trait, when if it was untraited nothing would change from a gameplay perspectiveI dunno how to make it sound without looking like an ass so I'll just be honest.
