Better Hairstyle choices/ Longer hairs/ No Exclusive hairs

Well, to throw something slightly off into the discussion:
SE and people from the "clipping is bad"-band can argue as much as they want, that chest-long-hair is good / difficult enough, but...

Considering one specific hairstyle (which they should have added when the collab with FFXIII was a thing), I say the devs aren't even trying to expand their limits.

When the longest strands of an hairstyle are positioned in a very specific spot, you have to tell me why clipping should be such a problem. Long ponytails / pigtails surely work with the majority of outfits when we consider how normal hair - instead of a puffy-Manga-clichee-style - behaves a ka becomes slightly thinner to the tips.

Her hair would be really cute ingame! It's odd- I'm guessing she had an undercut/fade that's grown out? I still can't get over how disproportionate her face & head are compared to her body though

I'd like more long hair for Viera but I really enjoy the current hairstyles so it's not too bothersome to me. Back when I was Elezen though.... oh man the long hair was so limited I hated it. And Elezen girls just dont look good with short hair imo.

Viera hairs are special because most of their styles have volume & a thick weight to them- as a rabbit race should imo

Um If your having clipping issues thats your own fault use a diffrent glam there are so many glams you can use to have no clipping at all with any hair just avoid shoulder parts on the glamor and your fine

What a nonsensical statement.
1) I shouldn't have to forego anything with a collar because of engine limitations
2) That still doesn't solve the problem of the hair looking completely ridiculous, as soon as your character looks down.

I don't see what's nonsensical about that. The way this game was build makes clipping impossible to avoid, and it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon.

I don't want to forego long hairstyles either just because some people will be offended by the unavoidable clipping, especially when said people do have choices (to either wear clothing that won't clip, or to use a different hairstyle). I can't care any less about the clipping; I want my long hairstyles!

If you notice too- most people just wear skimpy things ingame anyway that don't cause clipping.
