I'm not sure if it's motion sickness or something else, but I have a hard time looking at open night sky/space, especially if it's under me (like during the phase change in E1). It makes me feel weird and I get vertigo or something. My solution to that? Just uh, don't look at it. Maybe tilt my camera up so I'm level or even looking up rather than down.
Luckily the sliding part in Puppets' Bunker is always in the same place every time, so you can just look away if you need to. It's good for other people who get motion sickness to be aware of it though, at least.
Every 1st person game, ever, even stuff from the early 90s, gives me horrible motion sickness.
3rd person generally doesn't, even if the environment generally moves the same. Something about generally focusing on my character, or the action *immediately* around her.
Those slides didn't for me - but they probably would have if we had to navigate around obstacles and enemies while falling down them.
It's a good thing to tell SE about; they've actually been responsive in the past; for example adding an option to turn off the hazy underwater effects.
As opposed to say, Blizzard, who responded by having their forum managers and 2 in-game NPCs mock people with motion sickness just prior to Legion.

Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV

And the fifty billion times they make you jump down sheer cliffs? It's actually *really* annoying and I've been asking for them to stop since...3.3? Whenever Sohr Khai came out.
Byakko was the worst, FYI. I never want to see that fight again.

I get serious motion sickness doing Levi EX, to the point where I just can't run it anymore and if it ever pops up in my WT or Trials roul, I ignore it/leave and take the penalty. I'm fine right up until he tilts the boat, and then it's instant nausea

I'd seen the title of this thread prior to doing the raid and, now that I've done it, I was quite sure this was going to be about the third(?) boss - the one with the exploding pods - during the part when the walls are rotating but the floor is stable. I found that quite unpleasant and had to keep the camera focused down at the floor as much as possible.

Im the same way, two minutes in a very situational awareness heavy first person game and I'm feeling like I'm coming down with a really bad flu, any more and I will have to lie down while I try to settle my stomach. It sucks cause I love shooters, but I can only play third person ones and those rarely ever get the love that first person ones get.Every 1st person game, ever, even stuff from the early 90s, gives me horrible motion sickness.

I usually can last about 45 minutes in a slower paced first person puzzler/walking sim, as long as I don't have to make any sharp camera motions. But, especially if the FoV is too low, I do it for too long and I WILL start to feel ill. I've interpreted the source of my sickness to the origin of the camera's pivot. If the camera pivots around a point in front of it, I'm fine, but if it pivots around a point behind it. I'm writhing on the floor.
The only time in this game that I've ever had my motion sickness triggered was in that one coil of bahamut floor where you're on that moving platform that jerks around in different directions. I had to stare at the floor for the duration cause it absolutely slaughered me. >.<

I previously got a faint wave of vertigo in Leviathan and Sophia fights, because of the tilting platforms. It's so bad in Sophia that I always give a disclaimer about it in the beginning.
