I didn't say the game was up, only that the patch could be downloaded, we still have to wait a few hours to actually enter the game. the patch can now be downloaded for both PC and PS4 users, just don't expect to enter the game once it's finished downloading.

Mine as well. My first post was informing those who play on PS4 that the download for the patch was up. lol The person you responded to seemed to misunderstand the situation, so I wanted to clarify that the download was what I was talking about as well.

Ty guys 4 the info, saved me time from having to DL everything when the patch goes live, now at 6am EST I can play instead of having to wait for DLs.

It's up. sort of/ The bar graph completes in about a second, reappears, jumps to around 80%, stops about 20 seconds, then errors out:
Rebooted PC, same result. I'll try again at 6 AM (3 AM PST)



Found the fix on Reddit:
Go into Documents, my games, FFXIV and the open up the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file in a text editor.
Find the line: BootVersionCheckMode and change the 0 to 1. Save file.

Very small patch on PC, roughly 3 gb
Done, downloading it at 20mb per second.
