Whoa whoa there,.. insults...
Although I don't disagree...
I agree with the OP. Like Gath said, the main contributing reason is a lack of goals. Another reason I can see is that we are limited to 8-man parties. In FFXI alliances could mean up to 18 people. That's 18 people who have a chance to learn about things as well as potentially receive a decent peice of gear. Outside of a few shells I've been apart of who cycle people in and out for things like ifrit, I see alot of people left behind. Its something a shell might struggle with because who wants to coordinate a run that lasts several hours to incorporate your 50+ members into what ever event that is going on, especially on a reacurring basis. I hope that the future, with companies that entail people devoting themselves to a specific group holds more activities that bring people closer together and teach loyalty.
Gath is 23 years old.
Gath is 2 years older than Mystina.
Gath needs to grow up and start speaking like a normal person.
Gath’s fish gills is worth more than your fish gills.
Hi Gath,
At least drop in to say hi occasionally :/
SynysterBlitz dissapproves of this idea.. SynysterBlitz thinks Gath should go relive 11.. SynysterBlitz thinks talking in third person is the most arrogant, childish and annoying thing SynysterBlitz has seen.. SynysterBlitz wishes Gath would just stop visiting these forums altogether..
SynysterBlitz never visits FFIVcore or w/e it is, because SynysterBlitz feels that it is a worthless site.. SynysterBlitz is ashamed of talking in third person, but SynysterBlitz feels he must so the community can see how annoying/immature it is..
SynysterBlitz wonders why he never sees Gath in-game, SynysterBlitz thinks Gath spends far to much time gloating over himself and being the conceited arrogant child he is...
SynysterBlitz is done for now, SynysterBlitz now awaits Gaths response..
Oh and remember Gath, SynysterBlitz's 1 gil is worth more then all of your gil..
/thirdperson off
Fuck now I have to /wrist cause I actually went down to Gaths level of stupidity...
I love you SynysterBlitz, completely and totally agree with everything you just said.
Gaths concerns made me think of a couple of inverviews with Yoshi-P i read a while ago.
Here yoishi touches on how he envisions the free company as compared to linkshells. Pretty much talking about this loyalty issue. Seems like you may be forced into belonging to only one.
Then in this, free company is mentioned again in relation to summoning primals. Looks like we may have some competition through this down the road. Only one group can hold the rights to summon a primal for a time. Will it turn into instance camping?... Maybe.
Either way, might be something to look forward to which may fill this void Gath has pointed out.

With respect gath it appears to me she was clearly referring to gains in-game, and now your broadening her opinion on comp camping to include everything you have said. What you said just now has nothing to do with what you said earlier.
You said that there was "no gain" in doing the things Gath listed, yet, with what you just said contradicted that. by saying "me and my friends complete end game content" There's really no gain for killing stuff...or do you change your mind?
Gath's 1 gil is worth more than your 1 gil.
She is right. Camping on top of someone else or another linkshell a waste of time and talent and to top it off it is also rude. There is no skill involved, something most recognized compitition requires. Like ifrit, it's all about latency. The only viable form of LS competition right now is win times. Which only serves to inflate the size of your e-peen and disparage others.
I enjoy your musing gathman. Keep it up.
Mmm. That's some delicious self contradiction and irony!
I stopped reading after you labeled members branching out and making their own linkshell as an act of betrayal.
You idiot.
