i agree guys, the silhouette for hrothgar and roegadyn are too similar
let’s add bangaa to change it up a bit
it’s a perfect and the only logical answer to this dilemma

Bangaa would've added more value in terms of the diversity Yoshida was trying to find, Lupin as well.
Yeah, it's a strange angle for an argument. I can always spot a Hrothgar and them haven't MUCH better proportions and overall shape is part of why so many Roe converted to them.
On the topic of mixing up races, I've more than once thought "Oh, that thighlander looks ... off. What's going on? OH, that's just a reeeeally short elezen". I've also confused short Femroe with "Strange looking thighlanders".
Hell I remember when I was a cat and thought "OMG, that thighlander is huge and thick! Oh wait ... That's a Femroe wearing the 2B bottoms? They look like THAT on femroe???".
If you're talking full armor ish then that's a non-starter, you can mistake a femroe for a male highlander or Draggo when everything is covered up. (I've played Femroe for years and even I sometimes had a hard time telling Draggo bois apart from fellow femroe from a glance)
That's kinda the whole point to armor, it's not exactly easy to tell the details of the body. My Femroe had max slider boobs and still looked like the best example of a male action figure in one of my fav armors last year.
Wanna show off your character's body you have to take that into consideration when you glam, nothing new. At a glance I can't tell a viera from a Elezen if they wear the mascot heads unless I see a idle or pose unique to them and I'll be the first to say they have much better proportions.
No, they didn't.
Roe males look like big meat wall gorillas like the galka before them, Femroe look masculine af. People find the Hrothgar body shape far more pleasing because it is, it's a inverted triangle to get that classic heroic shape. Roe as a race failed to appeal fully to those looking for a large race cause of their proportions much like how Elezen failed to appeal fully to people looking for tall, thin races cause of their proportions and animations ... leaving room for the Male Draggos and tall Viera to take root (I say tall cause a number try to be as short as possible cause they really just wanted Bunny nekos).
If you think this can take the place of a Beastly Race in a fantasy game then ... you do you. That's your opinion and you can have it. To ME? Draggos look far more beastly than Roes and Hrothgar clearly appeal more to the fans of furry than Roe, tis why they normally outnumber the whole of the roe race combined regardless of being just males with the most limits of any race when it comes to hair. They clearly add to the game ... can even give you the math on it.
Not sure what you're even getting at anymore, you just seem salty and looking for a debate.
Guess Imma end this here.

To me Roegadyn are super beastly and a lot more heroic than Hrothgar. Hrothgar look silly, like a Roegadyn with a cat mask on who forgot to do legs day at the gym.
As for the females, we have no clue what female Hrothgar would look like.
Furthermore, stop projecting your own actions onto me.
I have no skin in this, but I support more content for players who do have a stake in it.
Big panda is an awesome bear!
Soo.
This thing reminded me of all you people who want manlet Viera boys.
I'm still more "No" than "Yes" to your preference.
But!! Perhaps we are not so different, and should meet each other as more allies than not : D

Personally, I think the male Viera in the concept art (of the OP's post) look stupid.
I would personally rather see them go one of either two ways:
1) They make them kind of the inverse of the "tall amazonian woman" that the females are, making them shorter and looking closer to teenage boys. Pulling maybe even a touch of inspiration from FF12's moogles, just having them a little more as "kind of oblivious, but generally upbeat boys", which would make kind of a funny contrast to the Au Ra.
Or...
2) If intent on making them tall, strong men, I would replace their bunny-ears with noble, majestic antlers. You could riff on the idea of a "jackalope" comparison if need be, but I honestly really dig that idea. Maybe they would even have hooves in place of the female Viera's seemingly "clawed feet"?
I honestly just feel like having these "tall, muscular bunny-boys" is going to both look ridiculous, and also feel very same-y to the Miqo'te and Au Ra.
