Just got my THIRD Sothis while on an Elasmosaurus run. I'm at over 100 Coral Manta runs and still no catches, despite having nearly triple the number of tries at it as Sothis.

I finally got my Coral Manta!

Final tally for this bastard was 123 trips, 65 spectral currents, 37 intuition triggers, 72 casts, 4 bites, and ONE catch. Every other big blue only took me about 10-20 trips to get.

Now I'm done, and hopefully soon you will be too.
