Had a brilliant double sprout Aurum Vale run while doing leveling roulette on my SAM.
Or rather, the start of a run because we never made it past the first boss.

Tank and Healer were new and both just hit level range for AV but gear was fine.
The first room was a mess, as expected. The tank just ran straight in and positioned himself so poorly that we always pulled another group. He wiggled around a lot, often stepping into the goldbile and giving our healer a huge jumpscare. The healer struggled really hard because they tried to Cure I spam the incoming damage and I ended up Bloodbath-tanking.
So after the wipe I quickly wrote that using Cure II and keeping Regen up makes healing a lot easier because Freecure is a huge trap and they don't struggle with MP. They were really nice, thanked me and said that they're still new to this and appreciate any help.
The next pulls went better but the tank was still constantly wiggling around without needing to, repositioning mobs for no reason and pulling additional packs while at it.

    So, first boss.
With two new players I told them before we started to eat a fruit at 2 stacks, 3 at the latest and avoid the golden puddles.
We died. I think we managed to get him down to 20% before we died.
I reminded the WhM to use Regen on the tank and use Medica for aoe heal when we get our debuffs instead of trying to ST heal everyone with Cure I. "alright I'll do my best"
    They were so cute.
I then reminded the tank to use mitigation in boss fights aswell, not stand in goldbile puddles, eat a fruit in time and not stack with other players because the boss cleaves and one hit almost one-shot our healer. They kept running around the whole boss room for no reason and kept trying to stack with our healer or me.

It went back and forth for a bit until the tank finally just said "aight".
The 2nd pull went just as bad as the first if not worse. The tank ran around even more and whenever I moved behind the boss he turned him around again to stack with me. Everytime. I was nyooming around the boss trying to get away from that tank on a killing spree but he kept stacking with me and ultimately killed me even with all my self-heal and mitigation used.
The poor healer tried their best to keep me alive and did well but couldn't keep up forever.
So we wiped again. The tank tried to votekick the healer which got rejected.
At this point I was getting a bit irritable. I told the tank again to keep the boss faced away from other players and not constantly run around with it. Their response was that the healer is so bad they had to run because no heals were coming in. I asked the tank if they read what I was writing about the boss cleaving other players if they stacks with them. "yes". I asked why they kept stacking with me, making me take tons of additional damage. No response.
I reminded them again to keep the boss still and not run around or turn him towards other players. I set a mark near a fruit and told them they could stay there unless they need to move out for an aoe.
The healer wrote "ill not give up, i got this!". That's the spirit, little sprout healer.

We tried two more times and after the 4th wipe, the tank got really nasty. They started to insult the healer, told them to gtfo because they're so bad, they suck, that they're a stupid monkey etc.
The healer was doing fine. Not stellar performance but definitely enough to get us all safely through the dungeon.
The only one behaving like a complete idiot was the tank. If not for the additional damage from 4-5 debuff stacks and dps/ healer constantly getting cleaved from the boss attack or hp drop from running through goldbile, we would've been fine.
We votekicked the tank and I reported them for harassment. The BRD left right away after that and the healer stayed for a bit longer. They felt so dejected after this experience, I felt really bad for them. I assured them that they were doing fine and that they can't correct every mistake others make, no matter how hard they try. They asked for some additional advice and we finally went our seperate ways after around 40min in a dungeon while not even making it past the 1st boss.
Should've probably kicked the tank sooner and spared them their temper tantrum but I was hoping the tank would do better after some pointers but if anything, they did worse with each pull. I can't help but think this was on purpose.
I hope the healer has better luck next time with their party. Getting something like this in Aurum Vale of all dungeons must've been a nightmare.

ahh so i had another dungeon run other week pretty sure it was the hard version of library or at least one of the library looking ones (im bad with names please forgive lol xD) and the tank was taking there time enjoying dungeon which made me happy cause i havent fully explored all dungeons yet and the other dps was happy about it and staying with us, well after second mob the Monk said "your going slow pull faster" and we carried on going speed we was cause new tank etc so after 4th mob Monk just runs a head and pulls everything back to force the tank to grab all the mobs. I asked the monk to not do that as its rude since all but him was happy taking it easy and if he wasnt happy he can jump back in que, he carried on so i warned him again that i will refuse to heal him if he does it again and he runs off and does it again so tank doesnt pull aggro from him and i let him die. I then walk up to his corpse and shake finger "no" at him and after that he didnt do it again. Tough love works i guess also never think a healer isnt afraid to let you die to teach you a lesson, my heals are for who i choose you best earn them heals tehe ;P

Ended up in Dohn Mheg through leveling roulette as healer. Had a DRK tank and for the first 2 pulls, we did single packs only. I know the general thoughts on this, but I figured maybe it was for the best as his HP was dropping like crazy on just the single packs. After the first two, he asked if we could do a bigger pull and I said we could try. :3 So we did...and wiped. His reply was simply "Guess Not". I typically don't bother checking people's gear unless things aren't going well, but a wipe on a story dungeon tends to give me those feels. So yeah, checked him, and he was in a mix of 380-400 gear so I can only assume that he plays the role often enough.

Can anyone who plays DRK help me out here? Does gear just turn to poo when synced down to that level? Is a level 73 DRK missing out on some vital skills they get later on? Maybe just poor CD usage? I'm also not ruling myself out of the equation here. I may have been in more of my level 80 mindset, although I've never really had problems in that dungeon. But yeah, something was definitely off, and we stuck to single pulls for the rest of the dungeon. D:

Going back years, I used to really dislike DRK tanks as a whole as the majority that I ran into in DF seemed to be squishy and had to be watched closely. I guess at some point things changed, and they do seem far less delicate now, but that run definitely took me back to all those dark days. lol

Had Mt. Gulg for the second day in a row as tank with my partner healing, and we had DPS (DRG and BRD) that I could only describe as clearly having eaten a bunch of sugar before queuing. They liked to run just far enough ahead of me that they would get hit once by every enemy before they turned their attention to me, and the DRG seemed keen on typing out song lyrics modified to be thematically appropriate for the game. It was a bit annoying to see the chat move just to have it be completely useless (and not important information), but it was fine I guess because at least they weren't yelling at me or something. Though I did get pretty irritated when they referred to me as "[their] tank", though I guess that's more of a personal thing than a general issue with what they said.

Then as we ran up to the second boss, they didn't stop at the entrance and wait for everyone to arrive, they just ran in and started attacking. I stood there for a moment to let them think about what they were doing and maybe wonder why they were taking damage, but they didn't seem to notice at all. Given their performance throughout the whole dungeon, it didn't surprise me that they paid no attention to it. I believe after the fight I asked them why they ran in, and the DRG said they were trying to save the BRD, as if them both dying would've done anything to help anyone. Somehow my annoyance with them made them decide that I was more deserving of their Eye than the BRD, which I still don't really understand. (Though as an aside, for whatever reason I seem to get picked for dance partners, eyes, cards, etc. a lot more than other people in my parties no matter what role I am, and I have no idea why. Maybe people just like my name and don't really care.)

After finishing the last boss, the DRG told us all that they were giving their comm to the BRD because DPS hardly get any. I personally don't think that's any reason to give someone a commendation, and that they should deserve it, and for some reason it also seems like bad form to just call that out unless there's an actual good reason for them getting one. Of course, once we left I got a commendation which could've only been from the BRD, so clearly they didn't feel the same way about the DRG.

Overall I would consider that run Fine, but they were way too hyper for my tastes. I stopped for a second to roll on loot after a boss at one point and when the little window disappeared the DRG was far enough away for them to be dimmed in the party list. I can't say I really like when people do that.

The only thing that synching down does, as far as I know, stop materia from effecting your substats.
Their gear was just over the min ilvl requirements for Dohn Meg (iLvl375), and that close to the min requirements tanks def struggle to make meaty pulls.
It def can work, but it takes an above average tank to do it and maybe they just weren't one.

At level 73 they have literally all of their tanking skills except for the one that reduces magic damage to all nearby party members.

This is when I really wish I knew the other jobs better so I could keep an eye on things to see what is missing (if anything). I do have all jobs leveled, but that means little in my case as I forget things quite easily unless I'm playing the class often. A bad memory is a scary thing. ._.

The only other thing I can think of is that your tank was constantly being caught short by the (mini) tankbusters mobs like the baskets (Straight Punch) and the moths (Proboscis) do. Might get quite hectic mass pulling, not having the right or any cooldown for those or even seeing them coming, so I can imagine the tank's health could yo-yo if they're unprepared. I think there's mobs in each pack of the dungeon that do stuff, so this plus your tank's gear and maybe your tank was having a bad day?

It very well could have been that, plus a mix of all of us not meshing as we should have. X: We cleared fine after that wipe, so wasn't a big deal at all, but it did make me start wondering about a few things.

Hmmm...as a DRK pulling more should actually be better so that TBN breaks within the time limit so he gets a free Flood...maybe he was a new or boosted DRK and wasn't using TBN? Also he has Abyssal drain to help on those huge pulls...I was in mostly all 400 when I did that dungeon on DRK and had no issues pulling as much as possible. Reprisal and arm's length also would've helped him a bit if used wisely.
