That may be the case but goodness it's been over a year. At least let us know what is going on and when we might expect something. I think the community (at least many in it) have been pretty patient.

Well, I wonder if they're planning to surprise us with it all at once, like "Surprise! Look at all these new features!". It'd be nice, but who knows. They have a habit of keeping some things secret so they can surprise us later. /shrug

I drank a Fantasia to become a bunny girl after finishing the 5.0 MSQ. Then went back to Miqo'te like a month after, because i got more annoyed than i thought for the lack of hairstyles; But still had hopes for 5.1. Then 5.1 arrived and i did lose some hopes. Then 5.2 arrived and most of my hopes were gone. And now 5.3 had a live letter and a trailer and, again, it seems nothing will change, so all my hopes are gone now. They'll probably add those things at the end of Shadowbringers, or with the next expansion (which, hopefully, will also come with the currently missing sexes for lions and bunnies)

I'm very happy with my Viera, but I was also a person who changed hairstyles, hair colors, and even race and gender every few months. Now with Viera I don't want to swap into another race (but DO want to swap to male once in a while) and I've tried literally all the existing hairstyles for Viera and only found like 3 (INCLUDING bangs) that I'm comfortable with. And my favorite hats (Turbans, RDM pimp hat, BRD hats...) don't work on me.

I understand the dev team has been hard pressed with a lot of content like the Bozjan Front, the ARR revamps, Ishgard, and whatnot but it's been a year and the other races have gotten hairstyles and hats and helmets, it's gotten a little insulting.

Yeah devs mentioned more hairstyles for viera and hrothgar a while back after shb launch, but starting to think we wont see any of them till next expac...

Are you really expecting that they would have time and energy to care about this minor issue after entire COVID-19 dilemma? I would say that we will be lucky if we can get entire 6.3 patch on time atm. Lack of hair styles will not damaging your game experiences just be patient. It is not going to be something they will pay attention to in 2020

I'd say we won't hear nothing about new additions to viera and hrothgar till we hear expansion news and in 6.0 we'll get these additions with the 6.0 expansion launch whenever that is, that's my guess.

I don't think we'll ever get the missing gender counterparts either, they did say in the future we'd get updates on them so my guess is 6.0, never or a miracle of God that we ever get updates to them.

Viera & Hrothgar have been out now for over a year. Things have just been shut down the last few months with COVID. Just sayin'.

Now what always gets me is that Au Ra were released as a complete race. They had access to all hairstyles & hats right from the beginning. Why on earth did they not plan for Viera & Hrothgar to receive the same treatment? I understand that there was a bit of a time crunch with the release of ShB, but that should have been a priority to get Viera and Hroth brought up to speed after release.

I know people have mentioned that they both use unique meshes (no idea if this is accurate), but even if that were to be the case,even that isn't a great excuse in my mind. The devs should have allotted whatever time was needed in order to make them complete. And if this is something where the upper management at SE didn't allow the time or funding, then shame on the company for allowing them to stay half-arsed.

I mean, sure, I guess they did warn us early on that they would have limitations, but even still, that's pretty lame. I've never seen new races handled like that in other games. It boggles the mind. This is SE's cash cow, but at times it definitely does not feel like it. Between all the clunky inventory & glamour systems, housing woes, incomplete races, less new content being released with patches, it's starting to get old. ;X
