I honestly did a double-take when they previewed this album, so many of the 'remixes' are just terrible xD.

I really want to understand the internal politics of how it even came to be.

I really want to understand the internal politics of how it even came to be.

My guess is that it's either A.) A way to promote Daiki Ishikawa and Takafumi Imamura who have relatively few albums under their belt. B.) A pet project of those two men that Soken then decided to hop into based on how the album was written. C.) The three guys got bored and had enough clout with the company after the success of both the music from FF7R and Shadowbringers to make one passion album. Or.... D.) There's a secret FF14 dance scene none of us knew about.

I'll have to see what else is on the song list. Honestly, I was taken aback when I first heard it (on my phone) but then I listened to it on a decent sound system and it kind of liked it. I need to hear more of the track list though. I've always hated "Wicked Wiles" and I've never been a fan of Titania's theme either. I also don't care for the EDM version of Titan's theme here.

Being a fan of deep-house, I think "Equilibrium" sounds pretty cool. And I could honestly see "Rise" being used for a trial fight as well as "Unbreakable" and "Neath Dark Waters" being used in a dungeon. Amnesis Anyder(sp) used a remixed version of Sastasha and it was a jam. I think it'd be cool to see some of these integrated into the game at some point.

A lot of this reminds me of the Primal Eden fight. Did some of the producers work on those tracks as well? (Besdies Soken)

I think they might be remixes by the new music people working under soken. The people who did leviathan and titan's eden themes
