Fates don't do much for Blue Mage outside of a few spells learned that are otherwise in dungeons (Gorgi, and like a couple others). They don't get good EXP from doing them. And I'm only suggesting the low level areas, where you don't really need to have doom anyways.Or you could just... roll Blue Mage and Doom the fate boss yourself. Even during the initial run of this event, there really weren't that many people super keen on the grind, and most gave up or finished the weapons they wanted after a day or two into it. Now add that to the still very small number of people who actually bother to regularly play Blue Mage... Competing for fate credit against Blue Mages using Doom is not going to be a major concern. And even if you encounter someone doing that, just ask them to use other skills instead so other people can get credit? Or go to a different zone until they're gone? Or world hop to a different world where that's not happening?
BLU doesn't need yet another thing taken from it.
