I tried to pf E7S because I had a bit of time on my hands after work and my static recently had troubles with availability so I thought "I clear up to E7S so we can go straight into E8S to train as we can raid only once this week".
That said, E7S has been a bit of a struggle for me to learn, the teleport mechanic being my major problem.
Oh, after a few clears I thought I mastered it.
Well, seems like I did it only for my usual side (west), I was a bit too late to type my pos that the other healer had already typed "can I take h1 pls?"... I am usually ok with changing positions and can adapt well, but this mechanic... I just... It's like my brain cannot do it. I didn't wipe the party, I just yeeted myself off platform multiple times. It was very frustrating for me, even if the party was supportive, so I decided to just leave and cry myself in a corner in shame.
In the end we didn't even manage to raid for the week, so I feel like I could have just saved myself all of that stress and not bothered lol.

I died, like a lot. That's not a bad thing though, because the raid was super fun. I'm glad every healer in our alliance was pretty kickass, because my particular probably had all of the newbies since me and two other DPS kept dying to mechanics. I feel bad for those healers having to drag my corpse across the finish line during the first two bosses, but the shadow queen and Diabolos went smooth enough to where I only got nuked once instead of multiple times!

Seriously though, props to the healers.

That is completely normal for that raid. When it was current content, there used to be so many raid wipes and rage quits particularly during Deathgaze, Scathach and Diabolos.

Man, Scathach should not have been a problem but even to this day, I see there are still some groups who either ignore the Conla (spelling?) add or don't take notice and by the time they do, it's too late. Especially-and I have to emphasize this-for the second time it spawns.

That's where most of the wipe comes from. At least, from my perspective.

When I play as melee DPS I usually LB3 for that add. Some get mad at me but I prefer to be safe than sorry.

Anyway, I just got one alliance raid with two players that spend most of the time AFK (tank and healer). Not a fan of that attitude no matter how easy the raid is.

I always have the tiniest bit of dread when I queue-up thinking I may end up in Dun Scaith. I wasn't playing much during the HW expansion, and only tried the raid a few times during that period. I rarely get it in the roulette to this day. If I'm not doing something often enough, I can forget details rather quickly. Combine that with a general lack of experience with the raid as a whole, and it makes for some bad times.

It's pretty embarrassing since I can do fine in all the others, but that level 60 raid still causes trouble for me.

What's up with the lazy tanks in Alliance roulette lately? A few days ago i had to tank Agrias as a RDM and properly died to tankbuster (urge to cleave the whole raid was high), and just now i had to tank our Alliance's add in Cid fight as a NIN. Luckily our SCH and all my healing skills somehow kept me alive, but what the fuck, people? If you queue as a tank at least tank.

Had way too many instances of the tanks not picking up the ads and ending up going splat(or in Orbonne's instance, second boss bouncing around because MT was taken into the void). Got tired of it, so started tanking those....then other tanks started playing the aggro wars. So I just let them do their thing and pick it up when I have to.

Article 6 Paragraphs 14-15: Alliance Roulettes

"AND so thou must keepeth tank stance OFF until MOMENT in which TANK of other parties of importance PULL BOSS first. Henceforth, thou must IMMEDIATELY hit PROVOKE and pull said boss toward self. If previous TANK COMPLAINS, it is advised to IMMEDIATELY reply with "calm m8. is only alliance!" OR passable substitute "git gud its easy content" OR "learn 2 tank".

"IF other members of parties A, B, OR C pull before someone of TANK CLASS, YOU AS TANK must show your dominace over other parties and REFUSE to take back AGGRO unless said member apologizes. EVEN if apology is given, you may choose to punish said member by actively refusing to take back what was RIGHTFULLY YOURS. YOU must immediately take back AGGRO once all parties of interests have paid a blood price. RISK of wiping is advised."
