Hello. I seem to be "stuck" in what seems to be a jail?

The one thing I really hate about modern gaming is the interchange of suspension with ban.
I know this has nothing to do with your case and situation, but it's always bugged me that what was once a suspension (temporary time out) and a ban (permanent removal) has been just given the blanket term ban.

Now if you'll excuse me I have some kids to shoo from my lawn and a cloud to yell at.

I'm just surprised that the GM gave me 3 days lol. I felt like my punishment was kinda harsh. I mean it was my first offense wth? A slap on the wrist would have been better. However I think I have an idea as to why they decided on an actual suspension rather than just a "slap on the wrist".

A few days ago I cussed someone out lol. Apparently they reported me and 3 days later I found myself in jail. About 15 mins in there a GM came and explained what had happened. They gave me a 3 day ban. I could try fighting it, but no use for that since I know what I did.

So what happens next? Do I just wait 3 days and everything goes back to normal?

I noticed that I can't even log in to the lodestone ._.

Normally i'm not a toxic person, but I was mad at that person who I insulted that day.

I can't call getting frustrated and getting angry toxic. Nah 'toxic'(in my terms just being a moron) is giving people a hard time because that's inherently who they are.

Really depends on the GM I think. Was in a PF group and one of my friends spent the entire chest timer pretty much using every negative and derogatory comment in the book, and they got a warning. Though I said "What the F---!" to another player just ignoring mechanics over and over again, and got three days also. Or maybe they are just harsher when it comes to it now not sure.

Expressing any kind of social hostility at all is really treading on thin ice, moreso then pretty much any MMO I've played prior.

If only they enforced all aspects of the ToS that seriously.

I guess it depends on the case and wording and "additional steps" like im sure you call someone a door knob before you leave is not gonna see you a ban. However depending on what you said and if you for sample chose to call the person out somewhere else or even did contact them in /tell ... that would be different, it comes down to context is what im trying to say.

We once had a problem with a FC member clearing out chest (our own problem) which then sat on the yard linking all the items their "stolen" which was the real deal breaker ... not that he took them. We called him out on it on social media and the person who posted it got a official warning for it, to our knowledge the "thief" for which we placed around 20 GM calls got away with "dont do it".

So ... maybe they have a punishment dice they roll.

If they went after bot reports with as much vigor as they gi after "harrassment" or "griefing" maybe we would see less bots.

I see what's going on here. Let me guess, you got a tell with a link directing you to the Forums, clicked on it and entered your login details? That was a scam, someone stole you account data. It's quite characteristic that you get booted from your server as the scammers log in, taking all your Gil. Then, your account is used to spread the phishing link, and probably someone reported your account for that spread.

It's pretty hard to fall for that phishing attempt on PS4, because you can't copypaste the link, you have to type the url by hand into a browser.
