This could be OP's first MMO and not every MMO has the ability to allow players to dress how they want and still do content. You also don't know whether or not this thread would exist without 5.2 so acting like you know the OP's mind is also dishonest. Let me ask you this: why is it OK to be against skimpy female glamours and not men in dresses? I'd say that's pretty biased myself.

Because if you do a search for turning off glamours this is the only thread that pops up on this forum. This isn't a topic that gets alot of play. Thats why I say that. Google. And I already answered your question. Because bikini girls has been in mmos since pretty much the beginning. So to say you're against it at this point is old news and nothing will be changed. And I never said I know her mind. I read her post. Stop missing that please. You're the one thinking I mentioning knowing her mind. Once again and I'mma use caps so you can finally see this. I NEVER SAID I KNEW HER MIND! I just read her first post and based off that post I don't support it.

Arch.. I think I know why you keep saying that. Let me stress all my opinions are just based on what she wrote. That and the google search I did and only this thread is coming up. Because of those things that is why I said this thread wouldn't exist if men in dresses wasn't a thing. That is based on my results looking it up. None of that is me claiming to know what's in her head. Everything I'm saying is simply based off her first post here. And if this is her first mmo then maybe it's not for her. Because learning to deal with other players is like rule number one. Then again that rule is something alot of people can't do going off of the tales of the duty finder thread. The fact that thread is over 3k pages long says alot of people can't deal with other people for whatever reasons. :c

I read your posts and you still haven't answered the question. Saying "but other MMOs have skimpy glamour" and "this is the only topic talking about this" isn't an answer.

Also, this has nothing to do with "dealing with other players". You'd still be dealing with those player's actions or inaction in content regardless of if they're wearing a dress or bland robes.

I did answer it. It's been a thing since forever. you can't change that. That's your answer. And this IS the only topic on this forum talking about taking away glamour. And there's a really good chance this topic wouldn't exist if changes to what men can wear never changed. Because the only topics about it before this one were people asking FOR the option for men to wear more stuff. Either or people get what they want and now it's an issue? timing may not be everything but yes I'm taking that into account. That's why it's questionable. Again if she didn't want to get that opinion of her then she shouldn't have put it in there. People will comment on it. you can't stop them. As long as that bit is in there people will comment on it. Hell that bit is the only reason why I don't support the option. If it was never there we wouldn't be having this debate now.

And dealing with other players means the stuff on their character too. You can't say " I'm dealing with people but I'm making them change clothes I hate because reasons" That's not dealing with people. That's forcing them to follow your narative. Dealing with them would be accepting the fact someone may be wearing something you hate. I mean if it's that much of an issue you have options too. Kick, leave, look away to name a few.

Most of the threads I've seen about wanting more options for male characters was for more gear in general because female characters have and get the largest majority of glam-able items so it's only natural to want more for males to wear, not that they specifically wanted wedding dresses and bunny suits.

I'm not sure I'm following one side of this argument and am hoping someone can enlighten me.
Some people want to turn off glams because seeing people in bikini and frog costumes is "immersion breaking."
But...
Those characters literally AREN'T wearing bikinis and frog costumes. They're wearing full plate and using magic to express themselves.
Is that so unrealistic? Especially when NPCs use glamours to do the same thing?
