I don’t understand what machinist needs because I like the current Machinist and only want to see wildfire crit? That’s a pretty large assumption. Just because YOU are unhappy and maybe others are too doesn’t mean that I am too. I like the current mch. I just wish that the 1200 potency attack would match that of the likes of ninja or dancer as an example.

Literally don’t care about what everyone thinks mch needs. This isn’t a thread about the pros and cons of mch. It’s not a thread about whether I think mch is a good job or bad job. It isn’t a thread about ways to fix the job either. At no point anywhere was in mentioned that I think that A: mch needs fixing or B: this is how to fix it. It was a throw away request to see a big number happen from a 1200 potency attack so it matches the kinda hits that say ninja or dancer does with their 1200 pot attack. If your blind a** can’t see that, then stop reading between the lines which aren’t there. Take it as literally as it’s written.

As a final note, I like the current mch. My ping is decent so I don’t have an issue.

All this does is create an artificial bit of RNG in terms of MCH parses, suddenly if you run without any crit/dh wildfires you'll see your oranges turning purple because some other guy got lucky and all of his came up perfect.

MCH has finally escaped RNG, let's not go back. This request is awful.

One idea that has been floating around in my head is the following:

Wildfire now shows the number of damage stacks it currently has and increases by 1 stack each time when hit by a weaponskill or spell from you or a party member to a max of 30 stacks. When detonated it deals 100 potency per stack (3k potency max). At 10+ stacks it upgrades to Backdraft, where when it detonates deals 50 potency per stack (1500 potency max) to enemies withing 10y. Heat Blast increases the number of Wildfire Stacks by an addition 1 per hit.
