alone the header "can it atone for the sins of its predecessor" is so dripping bias that i don't care about their opinion.Edge magazine gave it a 5/10

oh and if you want scores loledgeonline is only one out of two that gave it a 5/10
Games radar 9/10
Cheat Code Central 9/10
Gametrailers 8.8/10
Gaming XP 8.7/10
GamingTrend 8.5/10
Everyeye.it 8.5/10
PSX Extreme 8.5/10
Spazio Games 8.5/10
XGN 8.5/10
i could go on, the lowest it goes is a 7.5/10 except for 2 sites that are obviously biased
nothing personal or anything just wanted to put that lol5/10 into perspective for people that don't know
Anyone can say that a low or high score is biased too. I just showed the score because it is good to see an opinion that differs from the norm.alone the header "can it atone for the sins of its predecessor" is so dripping bias that i don't care about their opinion.

"This is a big game, clocking in at about the 40-hour mark, but the lack of challenge in combat combined with the formulaic missions and frequent cutscenes too often make it feel like a sticky trudge. The visual and audio design is marvellous at times, offering up the kind of setting that you drink in before taking a single step, but the journey is always the same. The apparently open structure disguises a simple closed network of locked doors and narrow environments, while the ATB system is wasted on enemies that would struggle to defeat a corpse. Perhaps this is indeed the gameFinal Fantasy nuts thought they wanted, but surely even they’ll be disappointed with the result. [5] "

If 40 hours is a big game, XIII must have been really big. My first playthrough took me 60 hours, which I thought was pretty good for a Final Fantasy that didn't have much side-questing.
yeah cause that quote is surely a beautiful example of professional journalism...Anyone can say that a low or high score is biased too. I just showed the score because it is good to see an opinion that differs from the norm.

and if showing "an opinion that differs from the norm" means unprofessional ramblings of someone that obviously despised the prequel and throwing around weak comparisons like "feels like a sticky trudge" then i can live without it.
keep in mind that this is just my opinion, like this "review" is nothing else than an glorified opinion, i just wanted to show that this ISNT the universal reception the game recieves to people that haven't looked at other sites yet.
Holy... i logged over 100 hours alone on 13 before my ps3 died... .I did the same with 12.... *sighs* stupid ps3.... I want to play 13-2. I need to buy it. One because I want to form my own opinion of the game and 2 because I've played all of the final fantasy games even though i haven't beat all of them yet. So when I can I will be playing it.
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
I could have gone much higher, but I rushed through the last 3 chapters =)
Reviews agree with me? Great review, 10/10!
Reviews disagree with me? Terrible review, 4.0/10!
Every. Single. Time.

Yeah I think its understandable that it could be shorter story wise but with repeatable side quest, its on 1 dvd disc compared to ffxiii 3 dvd disc for the xbox360.
Your opinion is noted.yeah cause that quote is surely a beautiful example of professional journalism...
