    Ignore them, OP.

Most are moved by some misguided vendetta against mentors and regard them as slaves who should have no rights whatsoever. The toxic epithome of the "coddling bad gameplay" mentality - force mentors to carry the other players no matter what, even if it's glaringly obvious the duty won't be cleared until timing out.

P.S.: if people don't want to learn, trying the whole duty time won't change a thing.

Not sure why any of this means that mentors should be immune to the abandon debuff. They're allowed to leave if a group is hopeless, same as everyone else, and they should get the same penalty.

Honestly, they should probably get a harsher penalty, because they're getting special rewards on the assumption that they're going to do whatever they can to help. If you want mentor rewards you should be expected to be more committed to helping than normal players would be.

Those "special rewards" are a mount that will take you 5 years to obtain, if you only do Mentor roulette once a day. It's one of the worser grinds this game has to offer, and you still want to make things harder...

Edit: Also, leaving sooner means no daily rewards and not getting any closer to the mount, so I don't get this whole hateboner on forcing mentors to spend 90 minutes on an unwinnable duty.

Never looked into the rewards, but yea, I'm still not sure why you agree that mentors shouldn't get the same debuff everyone else does for abandoning.

I also still think it would be reasonable for mentors to get a worse debuff for abandoning. Whether you think the reward is worth it or not is beside the point, you're still being rewarded on the assumption that you're going to help people. A mentor abandoning people he essentially agreed to help is different than a regular player abandoning.

The OP wants there to be no more punishment for mentors because they don't want the content anymore and run away. That's what this is about. The penalties for mentors who simply disappear should be higher. Is that so hard to understand?

Die besten Absichten können den größten Schaden zur Folge haben.
Leidenschaft ist stärker als Vernunft. Achte darauf, was Menschen tun, nicht was sie sagen, denn Taten verraten jede Lüge.

I agree mentors are not there to carry but simply put, mentors should not above the rules that all the other players are bound to. They could have simply either vote to abandon or vote to kick. If you choose to join a PUG, you already should be aware it can be a learning pain and may not result in a clear especially in higher content. Of course if you leave before voting and such that's on you and just take the penalty and go do something else for a moment. simple as that.
