Meanwhile, whenever I just stand around doing nothing on warrior I find the nearest training dummy if possible and whack it once to be able to use Infuriate just so I can do my standing around looking awesome with glowy goodness.

This exact same thing. That aura is my second favorite thing about the job, behind Fell Cleave.
It's good to hear that plenty of folks like it, but is there a technical limitation preventing giving classes the ability to turn personal auras off? Or is it simply that the devs feel that these auras are really "class defining" and without them they feel no different than other classes?
Would mnk not feel like mnk without the aura effect, for instance? Any play testing to support it either way?

I'm not a WAR fan but that awful aura doesn't help. Something similar to /visor wouldn't hurt anyone.

Being able to tone the aura down would be appreciated.
The aura doesn't really tell me anything that my job gauge doesn't.
It just stops me from appreciating my own glam for awhile, especially since I'm a Lala so that aura really swallows me.

The only job with a "class defining" aura is Dark Knight - it's the only job wich has his aura on the little snes like sprites present in the deep dungeons. It's also somehow baked into the lore. It's good to hear that plenty of folks like it, but is there a technical limitation preventing giving classes the ability to turn personal auras off? I miss the blowy goodness darknight used to have T_T I mean the current glow is...ok...but still.
Yes please! I just hit 35 as Warrior and this is driving me crazy. I like to walk around and just appreciate my armor and the scenery between fights. This aura makes that so difficult. The best solution I've found so far is to change classes and change back, which I'm doing every time I fight anything now, but this is so tedious and annoying. Just give us the option to disable it PLEASE. I was having so much more fun before level 35.
Another option would be to disable auras outside of combat, but I don't want to interfere with people who like to stand around looking like super saiyans. I just want to be able to look at my armor and the scenery in peace without an orange tornado obscuring everything.
