A few weeks ago, I was doing my daily roulettes on my pally, and got into a keeper of the lake group. I start my normal 2x-a-pack trash pulls (as is pretty much expected of competent tanks in low level content), and we make it to the first boss trouble free. I pull the boss and suddenly notice I am the only one doing anything. All three other members are just standing there, inside the boss 'arena,' watching me fight.

"Do you think maybe you could slow it down a little?" says the healer. "I am new to this dungeon."

Exasperated and below half health, I rapidly reply:

"Do you think you could maybe heal me and we could have this discussion after the boss?"

"No."

We wipe. I say something nasty and leave.

Totally not opposed to tanking more slowly, but a "ha ha, I'll teach YOU a lesson!" message just isn't going to register.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who been in a weird premade.. sorry that yours though took it a bit too far. I guess it was too hard to wait til the pull was downed and bring this up."F this tank, gonna kill em' at the boss".

Mine was yeah weird. Aside from being on the same server, I figured it out they were premade for sure because of the healer and their coordination. Randoms are never in sync like that. She wouldn't heal me as much, and her asylums were always strategically placed near her and the DPS, and the DPS were never out of her heal ranges, etc, I often had to run to the bubbles. Nothing exactly a bad thing, just found the whole experience weird.

Why couldn't they state that at the /beginning/ of the dungeon instead of pulling a 'gotcha' moment? So sorry you had to deal with people like that.

No idea. It didn't even occur to me that anyone was pissed until I was in the midst of dying (it wasn't like we had even come close to wiping, or something like that).

Moreover, in my experience, people are more likely to get hostile towards a tank when they perceive you are pulling two slowly - not too fast (within reason, of course). It's the first and only time I've ever felt the swift hand of random "justice" courtesy of moving the dungeon right along in an orderly fashion :/.

To continue on with the Cape Westwind stories, but on a slightly different vein, am I the only one who doesn't really find it funny when older/max level players load into the trial and then act like it's going to be super hard with a chance of wiping?

I am "that guy" whenever I get Cape Westwind. I'm like, "Oh no, the hardest one!"

Why do I get the feeling the healer was a leafy miqo and the others were either miqos with defaults hairs and a random hyur. I dunno why but thats what I pictured reading your story.

I was doing my alliance roulette as WHM a little bit ago and got Syrcus Tower. Co-healer was AST and was doing fine for the most part but for some reason insisted on only using Gravity even for single target. Definitely no Malefic, and I don't think I saw a Combust either. Very strange, lol.

What's weird there is they made it to the boss trouble-free. So they could actually handle it fine and were getting some good experience learning healer, but wanted you to stop anyway so they could go into lazy-mode and only need half the effort. Sadly that sums up a lot of the playerbase shockingly well.

On mobile, but wow. That is straight up mpk. I hope you reported it cuz if ff11 us anything ti go by se takes mpk seriously. I can see if they said 1 sec, and you still pulled. But if 2x pack is fast, would hate to see my fc mate pull. THEY DO NOT STOP. lol (different fc mate to the 2 stories) they help train me in healing.

reminds me of an AV run I ran. healer was ignoring/ healing mechanics. I reminded them to eat fruit at 2 stacks. They just healed through it, they ate/healed through mechanics for Coin-counter, tank figured ok.. they can heal through those we large pulling. tank large pulled to the 2 morbol room. We end up wiping, and i reassured the tank that the healer, by their own admission, should have been ok with healing through it.

Then out of random, healer has like some psychosis of seeing things, claiming we are attacking them, throwing shade. etc. I reassured the healer we wasnt, no one was bullying them at all. The proceed to not heal me at all, on the final boss fight resulting in me dying. They fully admitted to this in the chat log.

i ended up reporting it, and getting a gm reply.
