"To allow for" is not the same as "balanced around." Fights in this game do not require 2 melee, they are not even remotely balanced around 2 melee.

Again, just because the fights ALLOW YOU to use double melee does not mean they are BALANCED AROUND using double melee. It would be more accurate to say they are designed for using 2 ranged, 2 tanks, and 2 healers. Everything else is purely a matter of preference although the role bonus is an incentive for you to bring at least one melee, one caster, and one phys ranged.
