holminster dungeon, last boss. boss doing that large straight line beam attack, we all group up. beam attack and suddenly tank just gone.

well he just got dc but the timing was hilarious, it was like he just got disintegrated from that laser beam thanos style lol

all three of us just went O_O and face the floor a seconds later.

~_~ I should cool down(LOL) before entering dungeons. Cue 77 dungeon and I dart off like a mad man, and the SCH didn't have time to get her fairy out, so we wiped. We wiped again when I pulled more than the group could handle. Honestly the first pull told me but yeah I was a bit upset about something unrelated and just ran with whatever my brain told me to do. Cue SCH disconnecting. Both DPS thought she was just bailing. I felt bad for both them, because they probably waited longer than I had(25min) for the dungeon to pop.

I apologized to the sch for the bad start -_________________-, to which she promised she didn't "disconnect-bail" and that it was a real one. We're on the same server too.

As an aside, it really sucks when you've used everything, include your invulnerability.. and it looks like all is still gonna be lost and nothing you can do. I absolute hate that feeling more than anything.

unfortunately for me this frequently happens (not in this case but also when the tank dies...) when im playing melee dps. unfortunately for the boss bloodbath is really good for eating that start up burst of damage in the time it takes for the healer to adjust to needing to heal a squishier target.

For some reason I actually had the urge to do the Eden Normals, even though I haven't had need of that gear in months. I got E7N Iconoclasm, of course... and only one new person, yet somehow the first red/blue lines phase, 1 tank, both healers, and 3 dps besides me(MCH) died.

Next pull, nearly the same, except one healer stays up and we limp along until the double stack, when the bard run his stack onto me at the last second and killed me and him.

Then, the fight kept going... and going. The bard has been raised 4 times now from dying to idk, stubbing his toe maybe, along with others multiple times too. Me? not a single raise. I wasn't saying anything, I had never been rude, I wasn't in a weird spot. I had the highest damage(or at least, I was #2 the whole time on the list) so I just don't understand why they ignored me like that.

At one point, I watched as both healers hard casted raise... on the same person. And left me there.

The dps was so slow, and I was just sitting there so after all that I did a bad thing and exited the game with the boss still at 40% hp at 46minutes left on timer.

My fc mate was leveling rdm and was doing 50/60/70 R on their rdm. They are only level 54/55 and still new to rdm, and stated as such in the party.

group was her on rdm, brd, whm, gnb. The dungeon was amdapor keep (normal).

Story: (paraphrased from watching a video of it)

So my fc mate is leveling rdm, and queued for 50/60/70 R for daily. They stated hello, and that they was new to rdm. The gnb forgot to put on tank stance, and she promptly said tank stance. the gnb put it on after first pull. The gnb started to slightly stutter pulling. She spoke up asking them not to stutter pull. Gnb was confused on what that meant, she explained what it was, stating that it means when you stop and then pull more after a bit, that it makes it hard to know when to attack or not. Gnb explained he was stopping to kill the void caller mobs to avoid adds. After the third pull, just befor first boss the brd goes afk with out notice, she stated as such and no one said a word. They get to the first boss and kill it, brd still afk. She said the brd is still afk, getting a bit anxious as she is needing to do 2x the work on a job she is new to playing. whm pipes up stated ya, they on a business call, she asked if they were in voice with the brd and whm said yes. she said that it woulda been nice if either said something, so it is understood why. that way it doesnt look like person goes afk expecting a carry. whm told her to chill out that it was jut a daily dungeon. She stated she was chill.

Nothing is said rest of the dungeon, till after the final boss where brd pipes up saying that she should really enjoy WoW, with how toxic she was being.

She sent me a video of all this asking for advice. I figure i post the story here and ask for opinions.

Yue, the WHM and Bard were absolutely in the wrong. I can't stand people who just say "It's just a dungeon, chill" it's other people's time you are wasting. This is how we have got to the point of Castrum/Prae where 5/8 people will go afk and expect 3 people to carry them. It's not acceptable.

Correcting people in this game is often not worth the hassle. From experience you rarely run into players that are receptive to feedback, most either ignore it or claim you are being rude.

This is why I often queue with a friend so we can give such players the boot quickly. Saves us a headache and they get no leave timer and can queue up again instantly. Win win

Or they could have maybe cursed at them and they would have viewed that as being polite.

If you're gonna be on a call that long, have the courtesy to leave and let someone else take your spot. Otherwise it's literally bailing and expecting a carry.
