Gotta love it. You post something in this thread like that you are bound to get a lecture. If you seriously wanna imply that an emote which didn't impact the run at all is on equal footing with calling someone an a*****e, I feel bad for people partying up with you.
Poorly perceived or not, it does not give you the right to verbally harass someone no matter how hard you're trying to sell that I was also being "toxic" by doing something other than DPSing during my healing downtime in a party that didn't care for DPS.
And god was that downtime huge.

I met someone wearing full carbuncle attire including slippers. He claimed that the outfit made him heal faster as he ran in circles around the tank using sprint. Thankfully, this was in Tam tara deepcroft.![]()
That would have been funny/entertaining to see. :3
So long as you, the Tank, survive, large pulls are always quicker than small pulls.Had a long and terrible Dohn Mheg run. Healer was great, the DPS though.. {Not sure what's going on here.} She wanted big pulls and I did them for the first half, but I decided no more for the second half because they took so so long to die
Remaining time was 50 minutes.
Someone will be able to AoE (everyone should bet at level 80 but lets just assume both DPS and healer are idiots) so even if it's just you AoEing and everyone else single targeting, it will be quicker than lots of small pulls.

If I as the tank am asked to pull big, then the rest of the party better do their damn job and take stuff down fast, otherwise why would I put myself through that??
I've personally seen this far too often, where I'm either asked to pull more, or someone pulls for me, and then the DPS proceeds to single-target through it all.
I can tolerate it in low level dungeons, where some of the melee may not even have AoEs worth mentioning, but when it happens later on, I won't put up with it
I had to make a judgment call. I'm sure she was trying to tell me "we got this" as in me and her because it sure felt like there was only 2 of us there, but we almost wiped in one pull because it took long and she bottomed out and I had to bolide.
Tree Dog Boss, you can imagine, was a close call too.
Which is where a "test" pull comes in handy. I pull the first few packs in some dungeons(you know who you are Bardam!), or to the first wall...if it all dies spectacularly fast, or with as little stress on the healer as possible, then I will continue. If the healer is OOM, or we die...small pulls for that group.Screw

As for a story...
Running a few level 70 dungeons trying to get minions I still am missing yesterday, and get Ghimlyt Dark. Everything was melting up until the last bosses where the healer made a miscalculation and ended up eating the bombs from Julia(I always tank her first to deal with those annoying bombs first) and dying, along with one of the DPS(both bards). No biggie, they don't really hit THAT hard, so the other bard and I go all out to kill the other boss, we get it done but the bard has barely any HP, and being WAR, I didn't have anything other than Shake it Off to try and keep them alive. Didn't work, so it was just me trying to burn down the 20% for both of them before their ultimate. I burned down a total of 26% before the cast finished. Second attempt went perfectly...still thinking the minion in there is a myth as I've NEVER seen it.

Just did ex and trial.... got Anyder and boy it took 24 min... Sam and bard with us, no LB at all, stuff died so slow... Q_Q But both had around 490ish stuff.
And we got Hades... went smooth but again i had a DRG with amazing 406-412 gear cause why reading the quest and get that fancy jobgear lol...
I healed an Anyder the other day with the weirdest pull sizes I've ever seen. The first half of the dungeon is basically enforced single-pull, of course, so it's only after that barrier falls and you have the stretch up to Kyklops that you have the option to do more. Tank pulls everything there, and everything goes smooth as butter. I'm figuring, "Oh, hey, this tank's gonna go for the megapull, cool! That makes the run a little more lively."Just did ex and trial.... got Anyder and boy it took 24 min... Sam and bard with us, no LB at all, stuff died so slow... Q_Q But both had around 490ish stuff.

Nope.
After Kyklops, the tank suddenly reverts to single pulls. And I mean single pulls, as in fighting the group at the top of the ramp separately, which I had never seen done before. I wouldn't have thought much of it, save for the perfectly fine bigger pull right before Kyklops.
You do you, funky tank, but your healer is very confused.

I mean, i suck but i somehow manage and if smt escapes me, ill get it unless you run around like crazy, but usually even i pull everything after the boss as the start of that dungeon feels like ripping out my teeth... I hate how we only get ONE bloody new dungeon and its only story dungeons from now on. I they do more dungeons like that one ill check out of Ex roulett, i swear..
The part on the whale should have been the solo part, I just hate it so much...
