Alexandrite i think maps are fine for me can get 75 pretty quick
books are the worst (arguably light farm x2) but if they let us buy all books it be fine

Only the book step drives me insane. Not much waiting for FATE to spawn as I can just alt tab to do something else.
For the love of Twelve I just want to at least be able to do more books at a time.
Alexandrite is easy. But the melding part tested my patience for bit since I have to reclick the scroll every single time.

On the other hand, I don't know if I really want the farm to soften too much, it should still be grindy imo. Book phase takes long but I find it pretty enjoyable with the variety of activities you need to participate in. So far at least, being 4 books in..
You can also just do the other FATEs that are active in the zone, as only X amount of FATEs can be up at any time in a given zone, so by keeping them cleared out you increase the spawn rate of the FATEs and decrease the time spent waiting for the right FATE to spawn.
You can also use that time to EXP up your Chocobo and other combat jobs, plus get GC seal to use for other stuff.
Kirika Yuumura of the Noir
The Soldats' Manor, home of the Noir and of Noir's Eorzean Natural History Museum and Aquarium
Plot 7, Ward 22, Shirogane, Faerie
Noir... It is the name of an ancient fate. Two maidens who govern death; the peace of the newly-born Noir hands protect.
I wonder if server hopping and checking all servers in your Datacenter on rotation would be the fastest way to clear those fates. You can also just do the other FATEs that are active in the zone, as only X amount of FATEs can be up at any time in a given zone, so by keeping them cleared out you increase the spawn rate of the FATEs and decrease the time spent waiting for the right FATE to spawn.

It depends. Nearby FATEs, yes I do clear them. But if the FATE I wanted is in hard to reach area, like The Big Bagoly Theory (Burning Wall, East Thanalan where there's a long winded path down the crystals), I much prefer to camp and alt tab. Unless I have other map to go to, then I will check those instead. Besides, I do 3 books per day when I'm up for it so by camping I can actually take a moment to rest. lolYou can also just do the other FATEs that are active in the zone, as only X amount of FATEs can be up at any time in a given zone, so by keeping them cleared out you increase the spawn rate of the FATEs and decrease the time spent waiting for the right FATE to spawn.

Yes, I agree that it should still retain the grind. Coming from years of korean mmo, I don't mind this sort of activity. I would be thankful enough if we can take at least 2 books at the same time. Having to return to the same area to kill the different variation of Garlean soldiers annoys me more than waiting for FATE spawns (Which, isn't that long for my standard. 40 minutes the longest I had to camp or maybe I was just lucky).
Between teleporting and loading times, not for me honestly. But I do know some people who rather always be on the move, doing something than just stay at one map for spawn.

The books are a complete nightmare. A complete nightmare.
I haven't experienced as much thrill and disappointment in a while playing this game...
