i saw a thread on enmity, the guy tested enmity materia +10 enmity materia = 1 enmity. not very good imo. im gonna try to double meld a hp belt instead.
Stay with me here, +10 enmity will not give you 1 absolute enmity on every action, which is what you wrote. You still following? 1% of 550 is 5.5 extra enmity, it's even above 1 on flash flash which would be like 3.8 extra enmity.
I was giving exact and precise values, you made a quick inaccurate statement.
And no, I was giving a best case scenario for enmity showing that how at it's best it is flawed and rather useless.
Its not +10 enmity = 1 enmity
its +10 enmity = 1% (the % part makes a big difference)
*Also blindly following an enmity test then comparing it to effectiveness inside an NM boss fight might get us in trouble. We should really be confirming that dlvl doesn't do anything and also that HNM/boss type mobs don't have special mechanics at play.
Yeah, it was an exaggeration mostly.
Stanislaw translated this JP test of
VIT vs DEF : http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...entry?e=306910
to here : http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/107...y-work./page10
It shows defense being far superior to VIT for level 50 natalan mobs on regular attacks, but having no effect on certain weaponskills used by the mobs due to them probably being elemental based for damage. VIT and DEF seem to only have an effect on physical damage and absolutely none on magical damage, which is why ifrit rapes so hard.
He does get a 50% damage reduction on physical attacks which is rather impressive but it is only a level 50 mob, I wouldn't expect the same results against primals. I also wouldn't be suprised if there was some kind of a softcap on VIT and DEF, even for boss level mobs. Definitely not worthless, but not effective on every attack thrown at you.
