Lvl 70 ninja jump: What happened to Aurum vale and The Sunken Temple of Q’uarn?

Qarn is optional and not MSQ related. These optional dungeons are usually shown as blue exclamations instead of the goldish looking ones.
AV is GC (Grand Company) related to get promoted in conjunction with the GC hunting log. I want to say Dzemael Darkhold is also GC related as well. Both of these are outside the MSQ.

But I would probably hold off on the story skip at this point given what you have unlocked already in MSQ for ARR.

Did they take the part where you have to go to Qarn to get that one stone thingy during post ARR right before the move to Mor Dhona already?

I expected or hoped for that to be part of there ARR slashing process but didnt realize it had already happened.

Nope it's still there, did that quest on my alt yesterday.
But yes Aurum vale is optional unless you open it from Horizon. And like other's said, the level boost won't help you until you get end of Stormblood and get to higher level dungeons, every duty will sync your skills to that level so even if in open world you have all the skills up to 70, in lvl30 dungeon you only have lvl30 skills. Waste of money and boost tbh..

Qarn is strange because u need to go there for msq (last time i knew) but you don't unlock it through Msq, there is a Npc outside Waking Sands at Vesper Bay that give u the quest to unlock it

I want to say its post 2.0 like 2.2 maybe, if Qarn is MSQ required.

I was running on an alt character of mine I don't even have Braylox unlocked yet (just started titan quest on her) and I am level 52 and got Qarn, Aurum Vale, and Darkhold unlocked. Qarn I got from Vesper Bay. I may have grabbed AV from Horizon, but I also know its a GC required dungeon.
