If you're trying to enter your PS4 code as a Windows license code, it's not going to work. PS4 and PC require separate purchases though you can link both to the same account. So I've been playing for almost 2 years on PS4, and I'd like to also have my account on my PC. Yesterday (around 6 PST) I entered my code under "Add Windows License". I was sent to square enix, saying this action couldn't be completed due to maintenance. I tried again and it said the code was invalid. I tried another time this morning, and I got the same invalid message.
I sent in an inquiry, but it seems like it may take some time for an answer, especially with the virus impacting the company. Is there anything else I can do, or do I just have to wait for a response?
You have to buy a brand new copy for the PC. Both system including Windows ad Steam from what I hear, have different authentications and codes.
I think its to stop and prevent theft, so people cant just use one code for unlimited free acess using one code.
Well the steam and pc codes I think are mostly different because of the launcher you are using...idk.
I already know that, thank you for the info though. I should have been more clear, but after reading Valkyrie's question, I think I figured it out XD I bought the Shadowbringers standard addition for PC. And way at the bottom, past the merchandise, there's the "base game". So I'm going to try buying that as well and see what happens! Thank you for your timeYou have to buy a brand new copy for the PC.
