I second this Hardcore. Pvp is abysmal, its not fun even in small doses. Its just become 'get my dam tomes and get out.' This feels like a chore, and it makes me sad.
But, I for the life of me cant think of how they could make it fun and get more participants in The Feast.
Plus C'mon......people love Glamour...we always need more Glamour :3

It's pretty sad, for a player like me at least, when I play an mmorpg I usually dump a lot of time into PvP. Anytime I touch WoW I play it primarily for PvP and glam, and when I played SWTOR I played it for PvP. This game.. nope. It just.. sucks. It's not any fun. It really just needs a full on overhaul. Most of the modes are just.. uninteresting. A lot of different factors, I'd probably have to write an essay to get all my thoughts on it down. I want to want to play PvP. I don't want to play PvP in it's current state, and most of the playerbase seems to agree.

Yep, for me glamour is the other main reason for me to play an mmorpg.. I wish we had more cool things to work with! Male viera/female hrothgar would be cool for the people who want it, don't get me wrong, but if it was at the cost of other game features.. nah. I think we are getting too little as is, before the virus in case someone brings that up.

Not trying to dismiss people per se just saying that our own personal wants and desires of the game have very little impact in the overall direction of the game. If the missing genders are not seen as cost effective then the chances of them being added is slim to none. Just as I would like a fat body type, or body hair sliders, I know the chances of them adding it arr slim cause they probably would not have a large impact on overall sales of the game. Same reason why voting with the wallet often does not lead to much change since the vocal minority are rarely ever considered a large part of the overall profit of a product. Sure some outliers exist, but just speaking from personal experience with marketing and project management.

Also it not just about what the majority play per se more so what would create a product majority would be interested in trying. I mean let us be real between a fancy new dungeon or raid or bunny boys which do honestly think would sell the whole final fantasy aspect of the game to prospective player? Sure some would bite over the bunny boy, but I am sure more would be willing to bite for a fancy raid or dungeon.

I agree, and sadly I am in the camp that the profits are going into other projects. I hope I am wrong though.

I still think they should do a few tweaks to fix Elezen first and make them a bit more attractive as a race to play before tackling the Male Viera. The head is a bit too small on them for their body size, and I've seen other games handle elves far better than this one has. FFXI I always felt like the elvaan were supposed to be a bit stronger than the humans due to their leverage.

I am definitely in the camp of them make male Veria (and female Hrothgar) first in for most, since it's something I would find more value out of and gender locking is not great, especaly in the cliche way of big beast men and sexy bunny girls. And while I do think Elezen need a re-work, I don't see it happening.

fashion. Its literally 99.9999999% of endgame for most players. This game is popular because of its msq and its graphical style (and because its the only anime-esque game that's worth playing at all rn), and also ppl like fashion here. I hope the devs consider male viera and female hrotgar part of fashion/customization and add them.
Also, most ppl are either neutral or in favor of male viera (even if they would rather have more content etc etc), with very few ppl being against it and the true vocal minority are the very very small (probs 10-20) amount of ppl who actively spend quite a considerable amount of time going against male viera/female hrotgar in the forums (almost every coment I see here against male viera is by one of like 15 ppl) So I dont understand the vocal minority argument. I do think that most players would have MSQ+Customization> Everything else

I think that SE is giving XIV enough money tbh. They provide us with a LOT of content, the isseu is that most content dosent appeal to a lot of players. This game has patches that are in scale lets say 2.5/3 of a WoW patch, adn they come a lot more often, but the game spends a lot of its resources in the MsQ and a lot of players only value specific types of content. I dont think the game needs more monye into it, specially seeing how its doing fine commercially
