I'm usually looking at the boss HP bar and able to see the targets name there, but when something makes me turn almost completely around(something/someone falling, or needing me to look at something for them quickly to give them my opinion, even for a second) if something happens in that moment like the MT not using ANY cooldowns for a TB, it could happen where a DPS ends up at top of the list for a few moments.

I hope that no one took what I said personal. I was merely posting a frustration from recent runs. I can totally understand the MT just getting annihilated and the boss going buck wild on the party while the OT is registering exactly what just happened (gawd, I've done it myself). It's amazing how quick a tank's HP can get eliminated before you even blink.

Just left a dungeon after the tank and a dps started ERPing in the spawn instead of doing the dungeon. Unbelievable. No way was I gonna sit through a dungeon with those two..

Wait what. Why would somebody queue into an instance just for that? I... What?

I didn't stick around too long to find out if they were actually gonna keep doing it for more of the run. I know it was enough to make me say nope and got outta there as fast as I could.

I'm sure if anyone would say anything to those two they would kick them.

Some people like an audience. Maybe they wanted to start a group thing. Doesn't excuse it, but there are reasons why someone would do such a thing.

I did a run of Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm last night and it was a mess. I went in as DNC said hi and picked my dance partner. Everything seemed to be starting off smoothly even with a ready check and a countdown so I thought this would be a nice, fast run.

Boy, was I wrong. At least one person kept up a chat going the entire time... which would be fine if their skill level allowed them to but they were dying to everything. At least half the team constantly didn't know how to deal with Words of Motion with the gates and adding in the Unjoined Aspect purple and white colours where you have to stand in the opposite one meant so very many deaths.

We wiped three times and I tried to remind them to watch their colours and the timing on the gates etc but got no response. We did manage to take it down on the fourth try but that is because we had one really good healer in the group as I found myself tanking the boss multiple times as a DNC.

I left shaking my head after that as it has been a long time since I've had such a messed up group.

Thankfully though I got the piece I needed for another job I'd just gotten to 80 and the next two Eden's Verse runs were quite smooth.

Recently had a really great, and a really terrible experience.

The great: Ran through Xelphatol. Three members chimed in that it was their first time (me included). Normally this statement is just a short way of saying "Hey, if I mess up on a mechanic or go the wrong way please excuse my behavior at least once, maybe twice." However, this time the DPS that had been through it took the time before each of the boss fights to explain the boss mechanics in two or three sentences. I really appreciated that!

The terrible: Ran through Haukke Manor on roulette with my off-job that I am leveling. WHM was a Lvl 75 and I think the tank was up there too, so expected a quick run. Right off on the first trash mob I watched the tank's health quickly deplete with no heal, and... he died! He received a swiftcast raise, and askes in chat "Healer new?" No reaponse. Another mob fight, and the same thing happens and the whole party wipes. We go at it again, and I happen to notice the WHM lands a heal on herself as the tank's health is draining. I mention in chat to the healer that she healed herself and should double check her targeting. No response. My wife (the other DPS) told me she also received a heal despite having full health. It did get a little better after that, but we did wipe twice on the last boss. As a main WHM, the whole thing was awful to watch. How do you get to 75 and are still that terrible at healing?

So normally running thru Prae like 95%+ of the other players wear a majority black and/or white outfit, while I’m wearing bright red. Today there was a Lala also wearing red, and naturally I berated him and told him that wasn’t allowed because it made me stand out less. He acquiesced to my demands.

Yeah, it is actually the first time I ever had this happen in a duty. I thought it was really odd. When we all loaded in the tank turned around walked to that DPS and they started emoting and stuff. I was just sitting there like uhmm... we gonna do the dungeon?
